Nice property in a great location in the middle of what's happening. Shopping and food a very short walk from the door. This also means noise coming through the window from all the people outside but, that comes with the convenience.

Amazing place to stay .... will definitly revisit

Amazing place , perfect location, checkin process was a dream he even came with us to the parking to help us. Rooms and lobby are spotless and really nice. Location cant get any better with regards to where it is in the downtown area.

Alles war perfekt. Die Lage im Zentrum ist ideal, vorallem wenn man das laute pulsierende Leben der Hauptstadt mag. Der Unterkunftsgeber ist sehr engagiert und ist bemüht, einem jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Auch die junge Frau, die das Frühstück herrichtet, ist sehr nett und geht auch auf Sonderwünsche ein. Wunderschöne hohe Räume und bei geschlossenen Fenstern hört man nichts vom Straßenlärm. 100 %ige Empfehlung!

rarissimo, almeno per la mia esperienza, trovare altrettanta gentilezza e disponibilità al momento dell'accoglienza. Camera ampia, piena di luce, pulitissima, con doppie finestre che quindi isolano molto bene acusticamente, Wi-Fi efficiente, dotata di tutti i necessari comfort in bagno, dove la "idraulica", così spesso difettosa, era invece perfetta, con in particolare una doccia molto ampia. Il mese di marzo non consente di esprimere un giudizio sull'efficienza dell'aria condizionata (a Palermo necessità essenziale in molto mesi), ma la presenza di grate anziché del pannello indice a supporre ottima silenziosità. Colazione molto buona, quantunque io mi limiti sempre a caffè e cornetto: ma la signorina, super-gentile, s'era offerta di prepararmi uova e quant'altro desiderassi, quindi anche meglio che se ci fossero stati vassoi già preparati. L'edificio è proprio di fronte al teatro Massimo (si vedeva la splendida facciata dal balcone della mia camera): quindi posizione eccezionale, comoda per tutto. Da ora in avanti, tutte le volte che verrò a Napoli procurerò di prenotare per temp e tornare senz'altro qui. elvio giudici, milano

Great location, great value for money.

Porta Maqueda Bed & Breakfast is very well located in the historical center of Palermo, a few steps from the pedestrian area, close to many tourist attractions and bars and restaurants. Armando, the manager, is extremely helpful. The room is comfortable, with private bathroom inside. Breakfast is correct. However, it is not 100% adapted for people with limited mobility and / or with heavy luggage, as the lift does not reach the entrance door and it is necessary to descend several stair steps.

Best location! A lovely experience.

From Canada and stayed for 2 nights in Palermo and had an excellent experience at Porta Maqueda. All in all, highly recommend it! The room was large, clean and nicely decorated. The host stayed up to welcome us in at 11pm, which was very much appreciated! The service in the morning was lovely. Washroom was clean and had a decent shower with amazing water pressure. Bed was ok, but your typical hard memory foam mattress. Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of typical Italian breakfast foods (yogurt, meats, cheeses) - but we even got fruit and eggs one morning!! The latter being very rare on our trip. The AC worked perfectly, also a treat. The only issue with the stay was that the building facade was under construction and our view of the beautiful teatro and our terrace was completely blocked off - BUT our hosts were kind enough to email us ahead of time and give us warning. Location is perfect, being right on the main street and surrounded by sights within short walks. As a side note, if you do stay, the lights in the hallways outside the room are motion-sensor, but they only trigger from the floor above so have your cell phone flashlight ready so you're not trapped in the dark on a stairwell...

Amazing B & B in perfect location in Palermo

This B & B was one of the best places we have stayed anywhere. The owner gave us personal attention, made dinner reservations at a wonderful restaurant for us, and brought us tea in the afternoon. The breakfast was upscale and delicious. Our beautiful room was in a perfect location near Teatro Massimi and walking distance to everything. We could not have asked for a better stay. We will be back to Palermo and this B & B!

This B&B is in front of Massimo Theater, and many sight seeing spots are within walking distance. Very conveniet location. Staffs are very kind, giving me at-home impression. Their room is very clean, its design is so cozy and fashionable.
