"Large clean room with tea and coffee, comfortable bed. Lovely outside area with a view and very quiet. Fantastic evening meal and Iâm sure breakfast will be too. We took our dog and did a great walk straight from the place and saw a hot air balloon."

"We loved our stay at this property. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They provided us with a delicious dinner on out first night and waking up to breakfast each morning was such a treat. Everything is home made and fresh! I also had a lovely massage which I would highly recommend. The pool area is relaxing and picturesque, while our gite had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We hope we can come backa again soon, "

"Lovely friendly couple who run the place and gave us a great breakfast mainly of home made things. Very nicely decorated (not surprising as she was an interior designer before she retired to the SouthWest of France) and extremely welcome swimming pool."

"We found this gem on our way south and so glad we stayed. The couple who hosted us were so kind and accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful. The view from the pool was incredible. It is a quiet town so thereâs not much around but the city of Sarlat was wonderful. Sunday market is a must! "

"The Maison de Tari is a perfect place to stay for families looking to explore the area around Sarlat.
We stayed in a family room with three small children and it suited us perfectly. All rooms had a separate outside sitting area with a large table. It had a good sized pool, a separate communal cooking and dining area, including a gas BBQ and a fridge. A great continental breakfast was provided that included fresh pastries from the local bakery, and a selection of local jams, cheeses and meats....

"Very warm and friendly hosts! The home is beautiful and spotless with a lovely back terrace for breakfast dining, or just relaxing with views overlooking Sarlat-la-Caneda. Would absolutely stay again! "

"Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Plaza Madeleine Hotel & Spa during our summer stay in Sarlat. Everything about the experience was close to perfect. The hotelâs location could not be better â right in the heart of Sarlat, just steps away from the charming medieval streets, lively markets, and great restaurants.
The service was outstanding throughout our stay. Every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, quiet, and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
The atmosphere of the hotel, with its elegant decor and spa facilities, made it the perfect base to explore the beauty of the Dordogne region. Both Sarlat and the surrounding area are simply magnificent â full of history, amazing food, and stunning scenery.
We truly loved our time here and would return without hesitation. Highly recommended!"
"The property is a charming historic hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely as well, though it was a bit chilly to use it. We enjoyed sitting beside it. Our room was well appointed though cosy. People who enjoy a spacious room would want to specify that when booking. The restaurant is excellent. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner."
