"This is a beautiful resort, but unfortunately the experience did not match the setting. There was trash left around the property throughout our stay, which was disappointing—especially since most of it appeared to be left by adult guests. Even more concerning, it was not cleaned up as frequently as it should have been. We also had an issue with billing. After reserving a cabana, we noticed our card had been overcharged by $240. While the manager said the amount would be refunded, the explanation for the charge was unclear and did not inspire confidence. We are still waiting to resolve this with management. Overall, due to the cleanliness concerns and billing issues, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this resort at this time."

"For a motel 6, this was subpar. I've been to other motel 6s and this one was one of the worse ones. The pillows were flat as paper. Make sure to ask for extra pillows early because they will run out (gee, i wonder if the pillows are flat in every room?). There's no microwave or hair dryer in the room. The mattress was hard. Overall, you'd be happier staying somewhere more expensive."

We've stayed in a few large homes in the area and everyone agreed this one was the best. It was roomy enough for everyone to spread out and get some privacy, but there are lots of areas for everyone to gather. The pool and backyard are fantastic and the game room is pretty sweet. We'd book Casa Mara again, no question!""
