Casa Grande Inn

"We stayed here for a week or so in October. The ocean view from the balcony is spectacular. It's so nice to have the chair outside our door to sit and watch the ocean. The balcony is really only an outside hallway to all of the rooms on the floor. It is an older hotel but our room was exceptionally clean and the hotel seems to be very well maintained. I had no hesitation about leaving things on the floor. The staff is very friendly and our check-in was easy. We left before the front desk opened for the day and check-out was a matter of dropping our room keys into the mail slot in the door! Cons: It's a bit unusual to have to pay in full for the stay when you check-in and before you check-out. The hotel does not offer daily housekeeping, which is fine as we don't need daily housekeeping. However, what they really mean is that there is no housekeeping at all while you stay there. For clean towels, you can ask the front desk. The front desk hours are limited between 8:30 a.m. - 8:00/8:30 pm (can't really remember although the phones are forwarded if you need assistance). And staff on duty also do other tasks around the hotel so if you need to go to the front desk, you'll probably have to call from the phone there as they may not be at the front desk. The hotel is right along the highway, you can hear traffic noise inside the room from the vehicles driving by. All in all, I would probably stay here again as we were out and about every day anyway."

"Robin was so easy to communicate with, prompt, and made booking and check in easy. The cottage windows guarantee watching the waves, sunrises and sunsets. For those of us who enjoy a good night sleep, this is the place..quiet and a good bed made for a couple of good nights. A great hidden gem."

"The cottage and little enclosed community was lovely but the communication with the host was poor. I did not get a reply back to any messages sent during my stay from the host. The host messaged me that dryer is out of order 2 days before check in and he said not to use it which was inconvenient. The cottage was nice but poor host communication was less than ideal."

"This was perfect for our short stay visiting family in the area. We were out from morning to evening and really only needed a place to lay our heads. This was perfect. Clean and welcoming! Comfortable bed. Well-supplied with the basics - towels, glasses, keurig machine plus pods. We didn’t find the second bedroom very inviting - it’s a bunkbed with a ladder - but kids would likely love this space."

"Simply beautiful. So thoughtfully designed, with obvious attention to every detail. A small space perfect for a couple, that doesn’t feel small, but light-filled and airy. Every window frames a gorgeous view. Our host was quickly responsive to any questions, and left a guide with thorough instructions on how to use everything, ideas for hikes and activities and useful info on local businesses. Although attached to the host’s home, the suite was completely private. The bathroom and shower - gorgeous. Comfortable bed. Fresh flowers in a bud vase on the counter when we arrived. Great hikes and natural beauty on Denman. We were completely charmed by the island, loved this beautiful accommodation and can’t wait to return. The humpback whales that we could see and hear from our deck were a magical extra touch."
