Portovenere, a llovely little town not far from Pisa. In summer time, a boat links Portovenere to the villages of the Cinque Terre. It is however beautiful to walk from Portovenere all the way to Riomaggiore. Its not a short walk (count 4-5 hours), but it is a beautiful coastal walk.

"This was exactly what we were looking for after a busy week in florence and Rome. Quaint spot with a private pool. We cooked supper the first night on our private patio on a little charcoal grill and then the second night cooked inside our own little kitchen. Absolutely loved it. "Pros: Der Ort Pitelli ist wunderschön. Die Wohnung ist sauber und gepflegt und die Gastfreundschaft von Nathalie ist auch sehr gut man kann sie alles fragen. Cons: Der WLAN hat so gut wie nicht funktioniert und die Wohnung ist etwas stickig, da nur Fenster vorne sind und keins hinten. Der Ventilator ist gut, aber sehr laut."

"This place is small but well engineered to maximize use of space. If you need a place to relax while in your room this is not the place. Also we are avg size and it was tight for us. The only place to sit is in or on the bed. The bed frame is not designed for this but with pillows we made it work. The windows when closed completely silence the street noise. We wanted air conditioning one night but could not get it to work. The electricity only works while you are inside the room with the special...
