Much of the house is original/retro and in a quiet, country setting with wide open spaces to almost every side. Our home fits so many people with an extremely economical price for the space. With so many people, it has other space that is needed - 2 full kitchens and 3 full refrigerators. Though it feels secluded with wide open spaces, it is only 5 minutes to downtown Palmer, where there are several shops, breweries and restaurants that exemplify the quaint, Alaskan pioneer spirit. The Palmer property is close to the Alaska State Fair, close to local hiking areas, and only about a twenty minute drive to the start of the Iditarod Race. The owner's home shares the short driveway to the road, but otherwise the property sits on 49 acres of Alaskan beauty.
