"What a stunning place! Sandrine greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. The ensuite room was small but perfectly appointed for our stay. There was a lovely lounge with comfy sofas amd a TV. The outside space was beautiful, with ample seating for ourselves and other guests. We didn't take a dip in the pool but it looked so inviting. Bar & restaurant felt understaffed at dinner time as service in both was slow (more a management issue as the staff present were clearly working hard). Kids menu available in restaurant only. "BOOK IT! What a beautiful place. So peaceful. The staff are so sweet. The vibe is so trusting. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant (which was one of the best meals I’ve ever had), they just added the bill right in for us to pay the next day, so easy and relaxing. The pool was huge and very clean. Much needed relaxation day in the mountains :) Free parking right on site. Free buffet breakfast."

"Excellent hotel in Covilhã, we visit Covilhã every couple of months for medical reasons, there are two hotels that we use, both with pools, depending upon the price at the time. This time it was Donna Marie. Excellent as always, everything works, is clean, and relaxing. The pool area is incredible, a good sized indoor pool, poolside recliners, jacuzzi and shower. The outdoor area is really cool Lots of recliners and squishy chairs & sofas with parasols ☺️ Very good breakfast buffet, the fried eggs are cooked to perfection 😋 Lots of breads, meats, eggs, veg, puddings & desserts, three coffee machines, and a yoghurt machine ! Plus free parking and its close to the centre of Covilhã 殺"

"So much history at this property. It is beautiful. While we were FaceTiming with our son, he commented on the church behind us. We clarified that it was a former convent and it was our hotel. He thought that was really special. So did we. The staff was great and very helpful in making suggestions on what to see and where to eat. We wish we had more time as there is so much history within a 60 mile (100 km) radius of Serta. Specifically the knights of the Templar. It is fascinating. The property is right next to a beautiful park and the Roman Bridge, which led to the best restaurant in town. The food there was amazing and the prices were very reasonable. The only issue we had with our room was our air conditioner would not come on after it shut off (taking the room key out of the slot or opening the door to the patio). The staff was super helpful in resetting things from the front desk when it was needed (about 5 times). The staff was apologetic, but made sure we were happy. We have traveled a lot and the buffet breakfast here was one of the best we have ever had. There was a huge variety of food from 8-10 different fresh fruit options, 12-15 pastry options, 8-10 fresh cheeses and meat, yogurt, granola, hot eggs, bacon and sausages. If you leave hungry, it is your own fault. We are looking forward to our next trip so we can stay longer. This is the place to stay in Serta."
