Either repear it or put some thicker curtains. - as we had to go through a earthy path it would be useful to have a doormat inside."

The area doesn't have any public transport, but I was meeting friends who live nearby and have a car so that wasn't an issue for me. The on-site restaurant was closed over the weekend, which was unexpected and I would have like to have been informed about this before booking, but it was easy enough to order food on Uber Eats.
