"The hotel was lovely, very pretty surroundings which are well kept. The staff were super helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was nice, a good selection for everyone including pastries, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, bacon, eggs, cheeses and meats.
We didn't eat dinner so can't comment on it but the menus looked nice.
The pool area was nice with views of versuvius. The pool isn't heated so be warned, it's cold!
The rooms were really nice, the beds are super comfortable.
Each room has it's own small patio area which is nice but unfortunately we had a view of a wall which was a bit disappointing. Also we didn't get any sun on it so it was very cold in the mornings and evenings (we stayed at the beginning of May).
It's about a 20-25min walk into Pompeii town along a busy road and you have to cross the railway track. We didn't mind the walk even though I had a broken bone in my foot!
Apart from the 3 course menu and bar snacks at the hotel, there isn't anywhere else to eat so walking to Pompeii town was the only way to eat in the evenings. Again, it wasn't a problem for us but might be for less able people.
There is a train station in Pompeii town and another one which is about a 30-35min walk away.
All in all, the staff are lovely and if I was going back to just visit Pompeii and relax I'd book again but it is quite out of the way.
If you want peace and quiet (apart from the cockerel crowing from 3am!) then it's perfect but maybe not for a base to travel around."
