Very nice building from 1885. Nicely decorated breakfast room. However the room and hotel in generally was really rough on the edges.. renovation clearly needed Also there is a club downstairs which can make you hear music if you have windows open. Walls are very thin and might hear your neighbors if they talk in their room Otherwise great location and friendly staff

Older style hotel but it’s maintained well. Our main issue was the AC - hotel advertised as having AC but when we arrived (May travel) we were told that they do not turn the AC units on for use until June. It was an incredibly hot trip with a massive heat wave across the region, so it made being at the hotel almost unbearable both during the day and even when the sun was down for evening sleeping. Luckily, for our second and final night, we asked for a fan which they were able to provide. Thanks to the staff for being helpful with the fan! Heat aside, the hotel is in a great location just about a mile for walking to Lugano central also accessible by public bus (be sure to ask the hotel about the Ticino ticket)! Paradiso was a beautiful neighborhood to access the main areas without being fully immersed in them.

While this property is older it is lovely and functions without problem. The staff is friendly and inviting. Breakfast is delicious and the views of the lake are gorgeous. It is farther from the town center but is worth the 10 minute walk along the lake or the 1 minute bus trip. The AC was an added bonus! My only negative is that it smells heavily of cigarette smoke.

While the building was showing its age with its creaky, carpeted floors, dim lighting, and faded furniture, it was great in the places that mattered most to us. The beds were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was very, very spacious, the air conditioner worked consistently well throughout our stay, and it was very quiet throughout the night. Breakfast options were limited to cold options (other than the option to boil your eggs and toast your bread) but the coffee was freshly made to order and you could sit outside on their balcony to enjoy your meal if you wanted. Would stay again!

Location is really great. 5 mins walk to Paradiso Train Station and Migros. Bus stop is next to hotel and 2 mins walk to Paradiso boat pier. Old hotel with bigger room. Beautiful lake view but not good facilities. The breakfast is good though. Overall, you got what you pay for.
