Pousada Bartholomeu was extremely charming. It is a beautiful and well maintained old building in the heart of Centro Histórico. Literally the town square is in the front of the building. The room was spacious and cutely decorated. The breakfast was very good, too. We did encounter a problem when the pousada lost our reservation, but they were never dismissive and worked to get us our room.

Hotel with lots of character

The hotel is in an old colonial building which has been well restored and is in a great location in the centre of the old town. Staff are excellent and breakfast is magnificent! The only downside for me was the electric shower which wasn't hot enough, but I recognise the constraints in an old building and the character made up for it.

Wonderful

Everything about the Pousada Bartholomeu was wonderful, great location, quiet room, amazing restaurant (we had the best food in Paraty here) beautiful garden. However, the bed was very hard. Apart from that, we loved our stay. Beware though, no cars are allowed in the old part of town, so getting your suitcases over the incredible cobblestones is a challenge, but well worth it.

Considering we were in the historical centre of Paraty, this was a very reasonable accommodation. Despite being in a noisy area it was generally quite quiet, EXCEPT, when the excellent restaurant is operating, the exhaust fan is right outside the bedroom window. On our first night we asked about this and were told it would go off at 10, which it did. Night 2 the restaurant was closed, night 3, the fan did not go off until 11;30. Otherwise, the beds were good, the room was a good size and everything worked well. Try the restaurant - a bit pricey, but excellent.

Paid more than 200 dollars for a room in this "pousada" and the first time I needed to use the bathroom, it couldn't flush my excrements since there was no water for it. When I complained, employees told me it's normal not to have water to flush because sometimes they run out of it. For you that are thinking staying there during a romantic trip with your partner and not being able to flush after taking a s***. There is no love that survives this type of event. Unacceptable.

Experiência incrível de se hospedar no meio do centro histórico de Paraty. O hotel era muito bem cuidado, equipe muito simpática e ponto de destaque para o café da manhã, que é servido na sua mesa com pratos de sua escolha, tudo maravilhoso. Único ponto ruim da hospedagem foi o barulho que chegava no quarto, tanto da rua quanto do próprio hotel. Atrapalhou na hora de dormir.

Ótima localização e mal atendimento

Localização perfeita, porém logo à frente da sacada do quarto, tem um hostel onde a música fica alta até a madrugada e as noites de sono em silêncio só lá pelas 3h da manhã! O atendimento deixa muito a desejar, tanto na pousada como no restaurante! No ano novo o hotel proporciona uma festa, com cardápio especial onde reservas são feitas com antecedência e nos disseram que não tinha como reservar e que deveríamos chegar às 18:30 para tentar uma mesa pois seria o horário q abririam o restaurante, qdo chegamos nos deparamos com várias reservas, ou seja, além de mentirem, não nos deram nenhuma prioridade por sermos hóspedes! Disseram ainda que teríamos 10% de desconto no restaurante por sermos hóspedes e também não tivemos o desconto!

A pousada tem vários pontos fortes. A localização pois fica no coração do Centro Histórico, ao lado dos melhores restaurantes, cafés e bares. O atendimento da equipe pois fazem de tudo para que a sua estadia seja a melhor. Inclusive, me deram uma cortesia permitindo que eu ficasse num quarto melhor do que o reservado. Possuem desconto com o restaurante Primitivo cujo ponto forte são os cortes de carne. Excelente!

Ao reservar nao fui avisado sobre uma festa que estava tendo na praça em frente da pousada, um barulho absurdo ate a madrugada, resumindo, nao dormi a noite inteira, perdi meu compromisso esportivo sabado de manha e vim embora, perdendo uma diaria pois seria outra noite sem descanso. Achei um descaso com o hospede.

Como a pousada é no centro histórico, houve um problema na água e tiveram que alocar alguns hóspedes em outra pousada ou em flat perto da sede. Liguei para o hotéis.com mas como sempre a empresa nada resolve. Arrisquei e fui do Rio de Janeiro para paraty. Ótima surpresa. A equipe do hotel simpático e procurando resolver o problema. Em atenção merece destacar Luliane uma espécie de “faz tudo”. Simpática e gentil; não podendo esquecer de Alexandre o proprietário. Sinceramente foi a melhor hospedagem que fiquei na minha vida devido a gentileza de todos. A pousada ainda possui um restaurante em uma outra rua, onde se come muito bem. Merece destacar o gerente Antônio e o garçom Erivaldo que nos servem com perfeição. Da vontade de voltar a Parary apenas pelo excelente atendimento da pousada e o café da manhã fantástico e os seus dois restaurantes. Foi a maior surpresa da minha vida encontrar um ambiente tão agradável numa cidade histórica pequena. Isso se chama profissionalismo. Nota 10 em tudo.

Estadia confortavel, bem localizada

Estadia confortável na pousada. Me hospedei na suite casario, ampla e limpa com ar condicionado. Pousada bem localizada, no centro histórico. Nao dispoe de estacionamento, porém bem atras da pousada tem um cuja diaria paguei r$25,00. Cafe da manha servido no restaurante do hotel. Equipe gentil, solícita. Estadia muito boa. Recomendo

Muito feliz com a estadia

A pousada é maravilhosa, atendimento muito bom, quartos amplos. o café da manhã é esplêndido, servido com muito cuidado para cada quarto. Os sabonetes, shampoo e condicionador dos banheiros eram da l'occitane! e o restaurante da pousada é igualmente delicioso. Para além disso, a pousada está localizada na principal rua de Paraty, melhor local impossível.
