Pardubice became a town sometime around 1340. Back then it was owned by the Lords of Pardubice, the most prominent figure of the line being Arnošt of Pardubice, the first Archbishop of Prague, advisor and friend to Emperor Charles IV, a distinguished European personality of that time. Buildings on the square and adjacent streets bear the oldest traces of early gothic architecture. The neo-renaissance city hall of Pardubice is the main focal point.

The city experienced its greatest flourishing during the time, when the estate belonged to the noble family the Pernštejns, who gave the historical centre of Pardubice’s its appearance. They say that Pardubice is a city of sports, horses and gingerbread, and it can also be considered the city of transportation. The historically first railway route from Olomouc to Prague leads through here, an international airport is situated here, you can reach the city by car and perhaps even by boat soon. "Very clean rental apartment with sufficient amenities for 3 night stay. Staff were very hospitable and gracious. Only request would be to provide additional towels and larger in size for bathroom / showers as well as Kleenex tissue. Location in the mountain region is very serene and quiet. Short drive to nearby cities / towns of Sumperk and Jesenik...Plan to return and stay again in the coming future."

"Die ruhige FeWo - in Kurparknähe - hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Sie war modern und freundlich eingerichtet; sie bot zudem zwei möblierte Balkone; über einen Aufzug erreichten wir bequem - für all die besonderen Tagesausflüge - unseren Tiefgaragenplatz. Wir möchten auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und können die FeWo nur wärmstens empfehlen ... "

"Overall our stay was okay - lovely daily breakfast from our hosts and close to all things we needed on this trip. Our main challenge was the unit we booked was not the unit we were given. The first unit lacked air conditioning which was a must in extremely hot weather. We had to make several asks for the correct unit and had escalate to VRBO. All in the end was solved."
