Hotel Tirreno is truly a place to relax and re-energize yourself. Staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout out stay. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast each morning was delicious. Dinner - four course was over the top. Can not wait for the Spa/fitness part to be completed.

Great place and would recommend but a few issues

I will start with the cons before I get into what we enjoyed. First off we didn't get the room we booked. I booked a pool side room but was given sea view room. When I went to ask about it the blonde lady (I will not mention her name) tried to cover it up after I showed her my itinerary. She was fairly rude about it and just kept saying we upgraded you to sea view room. But I kept telling her I booked pool side and if I wanted sea view I would have booked sea view. Anyway I didn't want to make a big deal so I just left it as it was. Obviously they over booked and tried to cover it up. If they just told us it was over booked I wouldnt have mentioned it in my review. The blonde lady is not fit to be a receptionist she was rude to us and would never say Hi unless you did first and also wouldn't make eye contact. All the other staff was great including the maintenance. Always said Hi and made you feel welcomed. Place was nice (a bit dated but clean) and pool was great! Staff working at the pool were very nice and hard workers, they would never stop.

Simply excellent! Beginning with check-in, to quality of room. Overall beautiful hotel in nice location. Unexpected benefit was the beach access card providing a free beach umbrella as well as a towel. I would have liked to stay longer but there was no availability.

Nice hotel-not a great location or shuttle service

This hotel is well kept, clean, beautiful pool area and the breakfast is very nice. The staff is cordial. This hotel offers a shuttle service that needs to be improved to a more frequent schedule. It was quite inadequate for the amount of guests occupying the hotel. We often had to wait for the shuttle to do a first run and come back to pick us up cause it only fit about 10 people. It is not located in Tropea and the reserved beach area is not Tropea beach, it is actually Shark Bay in Parghelia. Tropea beach is a 25 minute walk. If you want to visit Tropea village and it's beach, I would recommend to stay at a hotel in Tropea village.

sehr schönes und ruhiges Apartmenthotel

Das Apartmenthotel liegt leicht versteckt, aber sobald man die Anlage betritt, fühlt man sich sofort sehr wohl. Alles ist sauber und der Pool und der Garten sehen sehr gepflegt aus. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend. Schlafzimmer, Bad und eine kleine Küchenzeile. ZUm Kochen und Essen ist wirklich alles vorhanden. Die Zimmer sind ein bisschen dunkel, was aber nicht schlimm ist, da wir einen sehr großen überdachten Balkon hatten, der im Prinzip wie ein weiteres Zimmer ist. Wir waren damit sehr zufrieden. Das Personal war wirklich sehr freundlich und herzlich.

Lovely hotel and staff very helpful. The down fall for us was that there is very limited things to do and you had to get a taxi or the shuttle to get any where if you do not have transport which we did not have. the food at the hotel was excellent and it was lovely to be able to sit outside and have Breakfast every morning. We did not use the private beach as it is quite a walk to and when you have poor mobility it was not ideal. The shuttle to the beach left at 9-15am each morning and did not pick up until 5-15pm and to walk back it is very hilly.

Nice view from terrace to Tropea, Beach and pool.

Nice pool with pool bar and bathroom master, so also very great with children. The way to the beach is exhausting, but there is a shuttle, but only in the morning and mittday. The breakfast is great, lots of fruit, but also a lot of cakes. We ate the menu on the day of arrival, which was recommended to us, which cost 40 € and was very disappointed. Have never seen such many main courses go back. We did not eat there again. The rooms are ok, if you like very hard beds and pillows. It is badly sound, the toilet flushing of the overlying Appartment went directly through the bedroom, the terrace in front of the room very large but tiled, which is quite noisy when at night chairs are moved. It is cleaned every day and made beds.

Schönes Hotel, Top-Service = Toller Urlaub

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Hotel Tirreno sehr genossen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals sowie die Sauberkeit der gesamten Anlage. Das hoteleigene Restaurant ist auch sehr zu empfehlen, auch wenn man, wie wir keine Halbpension gebucht hat. Es ist sehr gut und ist auch preislich mit den Restaurants in der Umgebung vergleichbar. Fußläufig sind in Parghelia ebenfalls gute Restaurants zu finden. Der kostenlose Hotel-Shuttle-Service nach Tropea ist auch hervorragend. Dort kann man dann shoppen, flanieren und natürlich auch in verschiedensten Restaurants essen. Wir empfehlen auf jeden Fall einen Mietwagen, da alle andere Ausflugsziele doch weiter weg sind. Rundherum eines der empfehlenswertesten Hotels, in denen wir bisher waren.
