The central location just beyond the Gare du Nord which means it is close to stores. an excellent Boulangerie and restaurants. you dont have to worry about distances . The people roving around near the hostel are friendly and have a multicultural attitude to life.

Stay was overall okay. You can’t really beat it with the price. The bed was clean and comfortable. Fun vibes and young crowd. Really close to Gare du Nord (the central station) The shared bathroom is clean but needed more area to hang your clothes and toiletries. The heat is bad but this is the price you pay for staying in an older building. Can get noisy still past 12 AM so if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs.

Staff weren't overly welcoming or helpful. The shower curtain in the ensuite was falling down and the toilet flush panel was falling off the wall. The 4 bunk beds were all part of the same unit, meaning if anyone moved you all felt/heard it. Exceptionally hot in the room, but there were groups gathering outside the dorms and playing music until after midnight so not ideal to have the windows open. Be mindful of the €7+ charhe (in coins only) to store luggage for a day, and the staff who won't help you with coins if you don't already have them. On the up side, the Belushis downstairs is a top notch bar for sports.

Good value for money. Friendly staff. Bed was comfortable. I arrived at midnight and left at 8am, so did not use many facilities - but could see they offered a Thanksgiving dinner which I thought was nice. Vending machine for snacks and beverages. Book exchange shelf which is always welcome when traveling in Europe.
