La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cleveland near Lee Univ
10/10 Excellent
"Chenoa, on second shift, is a wonderful ambassador for La Quinta. She is so welcoming and efficient, it just sets such a nice tone.
The lobby is modern and well-maintained. It had an inviting atmosphere. One night, a couple of guests were playing acoustic guitars - beautiful!
My son appreciated the gym and there were people using it every evening but it wasn’t crowded.
The pool was very pleasant after a long day. The room was as pictured online and very clean. Our refrigerator was not working the first night and it was promptly fixed the next day.
I would definitely recommend this lovely facility."
Creekside R&R- Fish or Tube from Deck | Outdoor Living | Screened Porch | Hot Tub
10/10 Excellent
"We absolutely loved our time at this property! Our favorite parts were all of the seating options (covered deck, inside, and screened in porch) that were all five feet away from the creek. Being so near the water was wonderful! Other high points included plenty of seating zones inside (more than just one couch), a kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils, overall cleanliness, and the dock for direct water access. The host response was slower than typical for VRBO, as it connected to the rental company and not the person listed as the host. We had questions about deck lighting and it took almost 48 hours to get a response. I called and texted the VRBO messaging and the number provided on Monday. We received more timely responses by Wednesday. Two notes for those with sensitive allergies: the outdoor couch was covered in animal dander (whether from a wild animal or domesticated). I’m very specific to only book “no pet” places. We were unable to use this seating because we all had immediate and strong allergic reactions. However, we were able to use plenty of other seating options! The second issue was with a strong odor in the queen bedroom. Not sure what it was, but my asthmatic and sensitive skin daughter struggled a bit. For many, these won’t matter but for some, like our family, it’s good to note ahead of time. Overall, we truly had a fantastic and wonderfully relaxing time!!! We hope to book again!!!!"
"We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was just the right size for our group (4 adults & 4 kids). We fished in the creek, made Smores in the fire pit, and grilled on the deck. We hiked to waterfalls in the area, visited local orchards, gem mined, and had a great time all-around."
"The rental was clean and had everything we needed to cook the bit we cooked. Please note, that the coffee table in the room leading to the deck has damage to the corners, the second queen bed has strangely pink sheet stain on one side of the sheets. The view is great, but access to the river is a little steep. It would be hard to access for people of all ages. The twin beds are hard to sleep on unless you are under 10 :) The other beds were great, as far as I was concerned. Back to the view, I wish I could have taken the sight and sounds of the river home. We saw ducks, and I fed them bread off the dock. The Blue Ridge Train came by, kayakers and rafters went past, otters seen swimming in the river, deer were everywhere, and the mist rising off the river was breathtaking. We even caught a little trout and a creek chub off the deck, which was too fun. Access to the cabin is tough. The road leading to the cabin is supposed to be gravel, and there is some gravel there, but there are giant holes filled with water due to rain but will be giant holes rain or shine. There is one place where a car left part of its under carriage. Big truck, SUV, any vehicle with a high ground clearance is recommended. I was pleased with the rental. I wish I could have taken the view home with me. Sitting on the deck early in the morning just can't be beat. Had a wonderful time. I recommend Horseshoe Bend Park, Twisted Tomato for pizza, Yellowphant for breakfast (superb)."

"This property is a beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed it so much. The view is spectacular and the house has so much to offer. We had so much fun playing corn hole each evening. We spent most of our time just enjoying the property. Thanks for having us. We would love to come again."
