"This is a really lovely hotel in an amazing street in Palermo. It’s made up from three properties one of which was a monastery. The staff are really lovely the breakfast was excellent and the air conditioning was superb which was fabulous as the temperature was so high. We did the bus tour and visited the cathedral which was amazing. We also did the Mafia tour which was fascinating. "

"This was the first time visiting this area of Sicily. Let’s just say it surpassed my expectations. This hotel is literally across the street from the beach. The rooms are clean and comfy. I loved that they had a restaurant open most of the day with a great menu. I did not elect to get breakfast included because I’m not a breakfast person but they have that option. "Hotel Ballaro is gorgeous; walking up the grand staircase into the hotel area almost feels like you could be a background character in Romeo and Juliet. Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready on our arrival, despite having sent our flight information ahead of time, and we were missed receiving the instructions on how to actually enter the building once we found it, but once that was sorted out, we had a lovely stay."
