Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel

8/10 Good

"The hotel was nice and conveniently located. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and friendly. There were a few aspects that I found annoying. First, parking was not included, despite having a parking garage attached. When checking in, I was not told to make sure I paid for parking right then and there, resulting in a penalty for paying late. Very irritating. Second, the hot tub at the pool was covered and apparently under repair. This was definitely a disappointment. Third, the bar was not open late and food options were very limited. I ended up buying ramen from the bodega style store that was connected to the lobby and had to use a microwave near the Starbucks in the lobby to be able to consume the food. We were in town for concerts and finding a reasonably convenient late night hang was not easy. The shake shack across the road was absolutely packed with people. For any visitors that are in town and expecting any late night accommodations, I recommend planning ahead to have supplies for post-event."
