Stayed here for 3 nights. It's really isolated and quite far from the town centre, but they do provide free transfers there. You likely would need to get a private driver as you can't really get gojek, grab or klook pick ups from here, so if you arrange a driver from the airport, best to just hire them as a driver for activities nearby. The hotel itself is awesome, fantastic staff and hospitality. Good service and wonderful breakfast selection. The Villa's themselves are well maintained, but some of the places look a bit dated. There's also a sauna and cold plunge pool for guests.

The property was heaven on earth! The staff was wonderful and so professional. They went above and beyondto emsure we had a great stay. Our room was amazing, floating breakfast and other meals delicious. The spa experience was ine of the best I've had on vacations! We would come back to Bali just to stay there!

Beautiful picturesque boutique resort, nestled in the jungle. This resort is quiet, and perfect for someone who is not looking for the hustle and bustle that other areas of Bali offer. The staff were incredibly helpful, polite and friendly.. couldn't have asked for better customer service! The single restaurant in the resort catered for most cuisines, and I didn't have a bad meal during my stay. A couple of nights throughout the week they put on traditional and light entertainment, with a few simple workshops for the more creative person during day. A shuttle service into the local town of Ubud runs twice a day and I'll also pick you up to take you back to the resort (although taxis are cheap and plentiful). Stayed in a two-bedroom Villa with private pool. Found the accommodation sizeable although a little poorly laid out. A little wear and tear, and starting to show it's age. A few issues with ants (visited in May), which seemed to cover most outdoor areas. All in a wonderful stay, and highly recommended.

Disappointing and not 5 star

Small property a long way away from central Ubud and also at the end of a difficult unfinished road to navigate through. Rooms are reasonable but very dark inside, needs some updating all round. Food in the restaurant is reasonable but not great with breakfast being very disappointing. Service also is very painful but I’ve noticed this a lot on this trip. Would I stay here again? No thanks…

The hotel surroundings in the jungle where really nice. Every detail had been though of both in the looks and in the service. The villa was nicely decorated and was just like in the pictures and videos. Everything was clean, although a bit (but not too) dated. The breakfast was just perfect! Also dinner was really good. The hotel arranged free trips (e.g. Ubud sightseeing), activities (such as yoga and outside movie). If you look for some peace, quiet and great service, this is a great choice. The only down side was that the walls are quite thin and you can hear noice from the villa sharing a wall with you but that was not a problem at least in our experience

Amazing stay!

On a hillside in the middle of the lost jungles of Ubud the resort Samsara is the perfect getaway and we loved our choice of resort! If you are ever in Ubud this is the place to stay and if you are ever in Bali, consider spending a couple of days in Ubud to experience the island life away from the crowds! Yes, this place is really in the middle of nowhere spot to relax, so don’t expect anything else then just the magic sounds of the jungle and a perfect stay for relaxations! Samsara is an luxurious resort in gorgeous rain forest setting and we had an amazing stay in our villa with a private pool, our butler Putra aced each task with top marks, from smoothly checking us into our villa, handling our random requests with military efficiency, to organizing our restaurant and pampering reservations! All the small details and gifts every night made everything just so personal and so amazing! When you’re away for a visit in Ubud city you are really looking forward to get home for the turndown, can promise you that! :-) We would also give a extra big thank you to following persons that made our stay extra special! Kariasa/Kari for welcoming us in the best way and always looking after us. Putra - our amazing Butler for taking such good care it us and our room and for being an amazing safe driver when going back from Ubud to the hotel! I really really liked staying Samsara Ubud! It's a little far from downtown, So I have relaxed at the resort very quietly. Overall facilities and services were perfect! All staff was very kind and helpful! But I was told by one staff that he wanted to provide transport service individually, I was really weird. And he told me that don't tell this to the resort.

Had an amazing time staying at Samsara. Villa was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were incredible with their service and went above and beyond to meet our needs from start to end of our stay. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again without hesitation!

We spent 9 days here for our anniversary, and are really more than satisfied - the hotel, the staff, food & service was faaaantastic. Very kind and helpful with all our requests (some in the night;-)), 5 stars at all issues. at arrival, the anniversary cake and fruits was waiting, bath with fresh flowers and additional shower outside of bathroom - surrounded by stones and bamboo - nice feeling ! room was very spacious with nice design, all in balinese wood - the restaurant - very nice wine selection (recommend also very good ines from Indonesia) and signature drinks, the breakfast - 4 different styles with many options a'la carte - lobster & egg - my favourite, and the main dinner menu is really top one. modern indonesian with touch of french cuisine, really fits all demands...try floating breakfast in your private pool with champaigne, try chakra massage and balinese tea ceremony - they got all for all your senses...shuttle bus service to ubud everyday and booking of all trips you would like to have directly from hotel - simply, forget about everything and enjoy your holiday...we really spend here a beautiful and restfull time, with beautiful jungle views...already promised ourselves to come here again soon...for more than 10 days...thanks to all staff, you are great, and doing great job here for all guests...best regards - Michael & Marika

The secrete of Ubud!

The Staff was simply amazing! The villa we stayed in was excellent however, the lasting impression was with the staff and their eagerness to satisfy our needs in every way. The jungle views were breathtaking and the pools were superb! They offered a free shuttle to Ubud multiple times a day which gave us the option to choose our plans accordingly. Cant say enough about this place!

Samsara Ubud is fantastic

We had a really great experience with samsara Ubud! The villa was modern, secluded, clean and absolutely stunning. The food was great too! The service was even better...the staff are so friendly and go over and beyond to assist. We would definitely return as well as recommend this to others!

Excellent room and view from the room. The room included a heated pool. The location of the hotel was located in the middle of the mountain with great views of the forest. Temperatures were surprisingly cool especially at night, so it was perfect to have a heated pool in the villa. Unfortunately, the heating system was not working well in our pool and it was barely heated compared to others where you can see steam emerging from the pools in the mornings. The rooms were fairly clean but not excellent. Morning breakfasts were great and had great choices including a lobster and poached egg option which was excellent.
