"This is by FAR the best property we have stayed at. Her loft is cozy, clean and conveniently located by a great restaurant with amazing live music. Barb is quick to respond and has gone out of her way to think of every detail. Cannot say enough about this place… don’t hesitate to book!"

"The house exceeded expectations by far! Very spacious living room with very comfortable seating and a fully operational TV! Kitchen fully stocked! Beds were comfortable with lovely bedding and there was closet space w/hangers and dressers in each room. The private, enormous deck was the BEST! It is surrounded by beautiful trees, equipped with chairs, grill and fire top table. We will be back again!"

"Beautiful grounds and great location. Good communication with the owner. So much was provided….I always appreciate it when you don’t have to run to the store for supplies like shampoo, paper towel, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid etc. Very comfortable bed/pillows. We enjoyed our stay and will check for availability here or at “the loft” (on the same property) for future visits."

"The cottage nestled in colorful flower gardens with views out each window, that included a lake, were very restful. Hearing the loons in the morning were thrilling.The cozy cottage itself was decorated in vintage style which made our stay extra special."

"Christopher,Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home to our family while we were in Traverse City for my grandson’s wedding. The Shilladay House truly could not have been a more perfect place for all 12 of us to stay together.The location, charm, space, and amenities were exactly what our family needed. With grown children and grandchildren all under one roof, having plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and living space made getting everyone ready for the wedding so much easier. Sitting on the wraparound porch, visiting, laughing, and simply enjoying one another’s company in such a charming setting was a gift.The wedding was, of course, the reason that brought us all to the area, but our time together at The Shilladay House became a very special part of the weekend as well. Those are memories our entire family will carry with us for years to come.Thank you again for your hospitality and for sharing such a charming home with our family. Please take good care, and know that The Shilladay House and Lake Ann will always hold a very special place in our memories."

"Beautiful property! The home is so thoughtfully set up and stocked as well. Just a heads up if you or any of your group have a hard time with technology, may be a bit of a challenge as everything from the lights to the blinds to the toilets and showers operate a bit unconventionally. All very cool though, and there are instructions posted everywhere. The property management company that handled the stay was very responsive but information was sometimes off or incomplete, at times felt like AI or something. Had to ask 4 or 5 times for entry codes and WiFi. Kept sending a link to a website they built for our stay, but all the info on the site just said “reach out for codes, password, instructions etc”. Overall a wonderful escape, we would stay again."
