"We absolutely loved the kindness and thoughtfulness of people at the resort. The food, rooms, and pools were amazing! I only wish our plane had arrived on time so we hadn’t missed the first day. Our only suggestion is to maybe change up the music in the dining area a little more. "

"If I could only go to one place in Costa Rica, this would be it. Our casita was gorgeous - beautiful, tropical, clean, and comfortable. Our front porch looked out at Arenol Volcano. There was also a back porch if one needed shade. We mostly at ate the outside patio bar, as they served many lighter meals or a full dining room menu, and a wide selection of specialty drinks. Breakfast buffet is served in the main dining room with a wide variety of traditional Costa Rican and American breakfast...

"Loved the Arenal Volcano Lodge! Feels similar to staying in the National Park lodges in Yellowstone or Glacier. Although it is a bit of a drive, it is much less touristy than La Fortuna hotels. Extensive grounds with lots of wildlife and birds, observation tower, nature walks with knowledgeable guide etc. Rooms were very nice with balcony. Dining was quite good which was important give the distance to other restaurants. Staff was very professional and friendly. Highly recommend!"
