"This is still a fantastic hotel, well run with excellent staff, who are always friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are extremely good and served in the dining room overlooking the sea. The superior rooms are very comfortable with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended."

"The kitchen needed a good scrub as there were spider webs around the stove . The guest information book needs updating as we couldn’t find the wifi code. The fireplace was out of order."

"We booked a 2 night stay, with our daughter in order to be at a close friend's funeral service and wake. The hotel is ideally located to appreciate the view across the water, and to watch the comings and goings in the bay. The staff were really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The public areas and therooms are lovely and clean. Parts of the hotel are ready for being refurbishment (which is about to take place) but it would be a shame if the whole project loses all of the period atmosphere of the present building. The bar was comfortable and the barman (owner/manager??) was very personable and amusing. In fact, all of the staff made us feel really welcome and were encouraging us to return after the refurbishment has been completed. "
