Having just undergone extensive renovations, Millpond is a modern, 3 -bedroom, 2 - bathroom house overlooking spectacular views to the mainland. The house sleeps 8 adults comfortably. Two bedrooms have Queen-sized beds and the third bedroom has two bunk beds. Large sliding doors and windows in living areas and the master bedroom provide sensational views of beautiful Hog Bay and Penneshaw beach.

Millpond is just 25 meters to a clean white sandy beach, which is ideal for families and water activities. A spacious deck and barbeque facilities allows for casual relaxation or entertaining and a fully equipped bespoke kitchen ensures you have everything you need at your fingertips. Open plan living with modern appliances and furnishings and 2 modern bathrooms makes for a comfortable stay. All linen - including beach towels - included as part of your stay. Perfect for one or two families.

We're happy to announce that we now offer free WI-FI throughout the home to keep you connected during your stay.

A well maintained garden with outside fish cleaning facilitates and plenty of parking for cars and boats makes Millpond an ideal setting for the anglers amongst you.

An efficient potbelly wood heater and cosy ambiance also makes Millpond a perfect retreat in the cooler months.

Location

Situated in the pretty seaside village of Penneshaw, Millpond overlooks Backstairs Passage and faces mainland South Australia. Either winter or summer, Millpond provides an ideal holiday location. 25mts from a pristine beach and minutes walk to local shops, ferry terminal, Sealink offices (bookings for island tours), local attractions (penguin tours, golf course, Christmas Cove boat launching facilities, restaurants) and resident fairy penguins and wallabies. Local wineries, stunning beaches and other attractions are easily accessible from here.

Have just had the best holiday on Kangaroo Island staying at Millpond in Penneshaw. Eddie our host was amazing and very accomodating. The house has beautiful views and is very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again!!!

Millpond is a perfectly appointed holiday home. It was an absolute delight to stay here and it will be the first place I look on my next trip to KI. All the little details are there - platters, spices, tools for seafood, puzzles/books for rainy days. The front verandah was a lovely place to relax, watch the dolphins, birds and see the wallabies :)

The three of us all enjoyed our at Millpond. The house or should I say owners) catered very well to our needs and was well equipped and maintained in all areas, especiallly the kitchen! Great location with an awsome view of the bay, cleanliness, great outdoor furniture and comfy beds beds. My only concern was my blind husband possibly breaking the lovely glass stingray ornament in the main bedroom! We would highly recommend this lovely holiday home. Thanks Meredith and Co xx

We couldn’t have asked for a better house than Millpond! It had everything we could possible want and Eddie and Rhonda were so helpful! The views to the white sandy beach were stunning and KI was the most heavenly place. Definitely will come back!

Loved this holiday experience with longtime girlfriends. The house was excellent. Loved the 2 full bathrooms as we had a girlfriend with a moon boot on and legally blind so was very easy for her to find her way around with easy access.

Millpond is wonderfully situated - on a quiet road, with a front terrace overlooking Hog's Bay, and a short stroll to the shops of Penneshaw. The house has a large kitchen/living/dining space and 3 good sized bedrooms and is very well presented, and equipped with everything you would need to live, let alone holiday. The owners are helpful and very communicative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here exploring the sights of Kangaroo Island.

Clean & spacious, with a modern feel, ample accommodation for 4 adults & 4 children if required. Nice bathrooms although the very hot water in the showers could prove a hazard to young children or the elderly. Well appointed kitchen with plenty of equipment to cook almost anything. Only a few hundreds metres from the town centre and great ocean views.

We had a wonderful stay in Penneshaw. Millpond is a lovely house with a beatufil view of the bay. The house was so comfortable. It was airy and tastefully decorated. Fabulous property with panoramic views of Backstairs Passage across Hog Bay to Cape Jervis. Within easy walking distance to supermarket, hotel and ferry terminal. This home has all the amenities we have in our own home. Eddie is very responsive to any questions. We had another great day at the Kangaroo Island races. Thanks Eddie and Rhonda.

This place was so perfect for our holiday on Kangaroo Island. Easy check-in process once getting off the boat. The ocean views are very relaxing to wake up to and finish the day off after a day out seeing the beautiful spots on the island. Being so close to the beach and able to easily walk to is a big bonus. Communication is very responsive and accomodating. Highly recommend this place and we will be back for sure. Thank you to the hosts Eddie and Rhonda.

The Millpond home is absolutely beautiful! Clean, great space and a beautiful view of the bay! Our family was just happy to settle in to the home, with the wood-burning stove going and sit and relax in the evenings (we were there in June, so it was dark fairly early). The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make a meal. Truly, our stay at Millpond will be a large part of the good memories we had while on Kangaroo Island! Thanks so much for keeping a beautiful home and sharing it with those who want to enjoy the island!
