"Fantastic hotel right in the middle of Penrith, which is a lovely town. Hotel has parking, which is really useful as it was hard to come by in the town itself when I was there. Special thank you to Petra at reception and the housekeeping team. I had accidentally left a piece of jewellery in my room at checkout. The piece of jewellery in question is very valuable, especially for sentimental reasons. The housekeeping colleague had taken it down to reception for safe keeping, but Petra had gone the extra mile to personally call me to let me know and she had even gone to the post office to post it back to my home address. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for your care and grace. This shows the class of the hotel and its staff, and that you are in incredibly safe and caring hands when you are there. Thank you Petra and thank you George Hotel for a lovely stay. "

"Everything about our stay was wonderful. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast delivered to our room was delicious. The private parking lot was much appreciated. We are vegetarian so the attraction was immediate. "

"Room was clean, bathroom on the small side, but doable. Pub downstairs, provides good food and drinks and was quiet after 10 PM."

"The staff was excellent, shower didn’t drain well, beds were comfortable, there was no noise from the bar downstairs that we heard even though it was a Saturday night. Room was a little chilly when we went in. Would love to go back next year to see changes"
