It was a fun time thanks. The back porch faces the water and it was very nice sitting and looking at the water in the evenings. There is a step down to sand and then another step down to the beach. The water was very shallow for a long ways out but that was great for our dogs and kids. There was a dock that went pretty far out. We saw lots of fish, sting rays, hermit crabs, one regular crab (tiny though), a jelly fish, and what we thought was a dolphin but may have been a shark. Thanks again.

A wonderful place to unwind & relax

We really enjoyed our stay here. Sitting on the dock, eating fresh seafood, getting our dog Buddy to the beach. It was a great getaway for some rest & relaxation. We would definitely stay here again. Lorry & Michael are excellent hosts.

Perfect quite get away right on the lagoon

Spent most of the time enjoying the location and swiming in the lagoons perfect mix of salt and none salted water, when we werent in the water we were fishing or eating local foods. All of which were amazing experiences and Lorry made it so easy. Will definitely come back here!

Quiet relaxation

Place was just as described - beach time was lovely and lots of little critters to see in the water and on the sand. Our 8 year old loved it and we will be back!

Relaxing & Cozy

Great location for easy access to the calmer side of Pensacola, and also very near Perdido amenities. The apartment is on the ground floor, no steps to enter. It is really special to have beautiful grass, private sand, and the calm waters of the lagoon in your backyard.babackyard.

Nice quiet place

We loved that we had a nice quiet place to stay. We enjoyed the kayaks very much and our dog was very happy playing in the water. Nice quiet neighborhood and very beautiful view of the water. The peir is long amd gives an excellent view of sunrises and sunsets.

Small little gem by right off the beach.

Went on a weekend get away, good for a lay over or 3 day weekend. The place is how it’s displayed. Everything was close by. The Kayak(s) were a very nice touch to explore the ocean right out the back door. We were able to see a few stingrays and fishes. The host was great, response time was very quick. Lovely people.thank you all for everything.

This was one of the best vacations my family and I have every been on. The private beach was amazing and my pup loved to dig in the sand too! We had a great time catching fish and crab off the dock, seeing the blue angels and also enjoying the beach just a few miles down the road. We can't wait to go back!

40th Anniversary

The property was so peaceful. We were very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed viewing all the marine life around the dock. The kayaks on site were a great addition so our kids could paddle across to Johnson Beach with us. We’ll definitely stay here again. This place was perfect for us…ignore the negative review from May… this is a great find.

Family Beach vacay

The beach bungalow was small and cozy. Perfect for out family of 4 and 2 pugs. Neighborhood was quiet. There's a 200 feet dock where you can walk with our pugs and watch into the waters for fishes, stingrays and crabs. The girls love that there was a small sand area where they can search for hermit crabs. Only thing is, there's no wifi even though the TV was connected to the internet. Minus that we would likely stay here again.

Just what we needed!

The property was exactly as described and exactly what we needed for our Blue Angels weekend getaway! We were so excited when we saw a ray and dolphin swim by and watching the pelicans dive for their breakfast was an unexpected treat! The location is in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood super close to everything including NAS Pensacola. The owner even recommended an art festival in downtown Pensacola which turned out to be another phenomenal find!

Location Location Location

If your idea of camping is in a luxury category then this place is for you! The location and the house are absolutely magical, you have a small shallow water private beach, a very long dock, you can have a private dinner, a nice cigar, or a glass of champagne while enjoying a stunning sunrise or sunset. This is also perfect for well behaved pets, we had a 6 months old Cane Corso and he absolutely loved the shallow water, this place is a little piece of paradise if you treat it as such. Inside the unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Owners are awesome and were a pleasure to deal with. We wish the weather was a little better during our stay, besides that this place is perfect and we would love to stay here again for a longer period of time. Thank you again to the owners for sharing their place!!

Exceeded expectations

We spent a long weekend at this beach bungalow, and even a cold front during our stay didn't deter us from enjoying the property. Instructions for checking in were easy and convenient. It was clean with all the necessary amenities. Access to the beach area and dock only steps from the property's door made for a perfect morning coffee or evening wine environment. When booking, I had told Lorry that it was our anniversary. She was so thoughtful and surprised us with a bottle of wine and note in the fridge. We came and went as we pleased, exploring the nearby Big Lagoon State Park with our dog and reading books in a quiet and serene neighborhood. We would visit again, just hopefully with better weather next time!

DONT BE FOOLED- Not as it seems

Unfortunately we cut our stay as we were so disappointed in the property. We originally booked to check in on Friday afternoon and check out on Sunday morning. Upon arriving around 10pm Friday we quickly noticed that this was not the way the description portrayed this to be. We ended up writing the owners around 9am Saturday morning letting them know that we would no longer be staying on this property. Starting off with the location. The pictures on the description portrayed that we would have a beautiful view, however our bungalow was actually located beyond a small door underneath a main house which we had no access to and between two garage doors. Secondly, we found that the owners live on the property so it was more so feeling like we were staying at an in laws house. We could hear the owners upstairs throughout the night also we brought our two labradors with us. Anytime we went to let them use the restroom UNDER the balcony, another dog in which we learned belonged to the neighbor whined and cried at our dogs while knowing that we were already told that if our dogs had responded back we would be kicked off the premises. Luckily our dogs were well mannered. Super weird experience to stay under someone else's porch. No privacy outside at all. The grass and "beach area" were very small dropping off of a concrete wall into the water. We decided to just leave and book a resort rather than try to have our private vacation. Also no wifi- don't even ask.

This property was awesome from the beginning! The marine life was even better, as soon as arriving and walking the pier we seen manatees, stingrays, and lots of sea shells to snorkel for.The kids had a fun time with the kayaks and jumping from the pier into the water. Hands down an awesome vacation spot would HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Family vacation

Great short stay over July 4th with my family of four and goldendoodle! The fireworks show over the water was, as my daughter said, “mesmerizing”. The owners were so kind and fun to talk with, made us feel right at home in their gorgeous house. My son caught 82 fish and many giant blue crabs. We saw stingrays, dolphins, and even a sea turtle! My daughter loved kayaking in the peaceful water and playing in the sand. The whole family (dog included) took advantage of the beautiful clear water, just splashing around and exploring. We had some great meals at neighboring restaurants, all ten minutes or less away. Many choices of grocery stores to choose from within a five minute drive. Thank you so much Lorry and Michael for sharing your beautiful house with my family, and giving us memories to last a lifetime.
