"This was our second stay here with two small dogs. The rooms are of a good size and having a fridge and an area where you can cook. The location is very good for visiting the old city and castle. There is a lovely swimming pool and there are laundry services which work very well. Staff are very friendly and helpful - hope to stay here again next year!"

"Beautiful family run hotel in an excellent location close to the city walls. Bars and restaurants on your doorstep and lovely little cafe opposite for breakfast. Hotel breakfast is 13 euros per person, substantial buffet breakfast well worth the money. Just an 8 minute walk into the city with lots of beautiful restaurants. Would recommend Hotel Du Pont Vieux to anyone visiting Carcassonne and would definitely stay again if returning."

"I booked last minute due to being stuck due to train cancellations. The property was very close to the train station, market, restaurants, etc. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. There is onsite laundry facilities as well. The room was spacious and clean. The area was peaceful and safe."

"Great value, clean and modern with nice design touches, in the rooms and all around the hotel. The view of the Citadel from my window was enchanting by day and by night - and from the restaurant and rooftop, just breathtaking. A short walk to the Citadel or main town, restaurants all nearby. Recommended."
