Some sort of special event drove up all the hotel prices in Petaluma this weekend...so I made do with this Super 8 for $104 on a Saturday night...I think this used to be a Motel 6? I usually stay at Hampton Inn or Best Western, but couldn't bring myself to spend $225+/night for myself. PROs: -Very low prices...I think this is cheapest hotel in all of Petaluma. -Clean Room and bathroom...though very old. -Very quiet location CONs: -Smaller room -No shampoo, just one little bar of soap. -No fridge, microwave, or coffee machine. Ice machines were broken. -Older, creaky, uneven beds, at least the sheets were nice. You get what you pay for...but it was still better than spending the night at my parent's house,

Staff was very nice and tried to be accommodating. Room had roaches crawling around, reeked of cigarettes, and the sheets smelled like chlorine definitely not clean sheets. Just overall felt gross being there. Only go here if you’re desperate or don’t mind roaches I guess

The front desk staff was helpful. The outside of the hotel looks maintained a decent. BUT, the rooms inside are horrible. They had the feel of what you'd expect from old run down sketchy motel in the ghetto. They are warn, rundown and smell odd. The room had a very strong chemical smell, like a cleaner chemical smell but worse. I had to leave the door wide open for a couple of hours to air it out. With the door closed the oder got stronger again. The beds were horribly uncomfortable. They looked like boxspring, not a mattress and they felt like you're sleeping on the boxspring itself. The pillows are practically flat, like they haven't been changed in years. The tiny hall in bathroom hallway looked like it was under construction then never completed. The ceiling in there was so dirty and nasty like at some point they had a leak that they did not bother to cover up well. The bathroom door handle was loose so you could get stuck in there fidgeting with it to get out. The bathroom door had a huge hole in it they didnt even bother to 'try' to cover it up. The tub is stained and looks dirty to the point you dont want to shower in there without water shoes. I got home and unpacked and my cloths smelled like that room, gross.

It looked like the property had been recently renovated in the photos but it is still waiting for renovation. Our room smelled overwhelmingly of old smoke and had burn holes (and stains) in the sheets. The ceiling was water damaged, shower rusty. To top it all off, the room was grimy. The shelves were crusted and splattered, side of the bed also crusted and splattered. Thankfully the floor was laminate instead of carpet - that was the one upside. Also, once they finally opened the pool, it was well enough maintained. Brace yourself and bring some bleach.

We decided to make a review for this property as we booked it for the pool, the laundry services and ice machine. However, all three of these services were not in working order. Very disappointed. The area as far as ease to get around to stores and shopping was really nice, but our overall experience was very disappointing and less than satisfactory.
