"Horrible experience. I was traveling to Berlin for one night and upon arrival I found the hotel front door closed. Apparently this is normal as there is no staff on hand unless there is a check-in due however this prompted me to give the hotel a call. The lady on the phone then (in a very rude manner) informed me that the booking I had had been cancelled by hotels.com and that there were no rooms available. I had not been informed of this and my booking was still listed as active and upcoming in...

"This is not a proper hotel! There's no staff there. You're supposed to get a code to enter but it doesn't come in and then when you try to contact them it takes them forever to respond. You only get 15 minutes of free Wi-Fi! Ridiculous in 2024! "

"This property was a perfect place to rest your head at a very competitive price. Its located next to multiple U-bahn stops for easy commuting around the city and a 20-30 minute walk to downtown Mitte, 10-20 to Kreuzberg, and to many of the sight-seeing spots around town. There are few amenities (bring your own bath soap and don't expect an iron), but the bed is comfy, the space clean, and for that price and location, made for a great place to rest my head at the end of a long day."

"The front desk was not open at all twice when we went to check in. A third time we went back and they were kind but no one spoke any English. I couldn’t communicate needs (extra towels or glasses). The location says Prenzlauer Berg but this isn’t in the center of that cute area. It’s more on the outskirts. That said this place was clean, quiet (our room was beyond a courtyard) and could sleep 5 of us so we would be willing to stay there again. It seemed a good value for the money though I went...

"The internet was broken, no elevetor - no airconditioning and the bugs - flies and wasps flew into the room. Had to have the windows open because it was so hot. Nice older couple ( I'm 74 myself) but in way over their heads. Really too bad. I booked another hotel through expedia and move - a good hotel the Mercure."

"It's a unique little place in the heart of the Prenzlberg district of Berlin. Just a block from Schönhauser Allee S & U train station and also a block from historic Gethsemane church. Lots of little eateries and a major shopping center all just a few steps away. Neatly appointed rooms that fit right into the district's vibe. And an ice cream shop right att the entrance. "The only reason I didn't give excellent is because the hallway and stairs need work. The room itself was bright and comfortable and clean. I feel this prooerty has gotten an unfair rap. It is an older building and not your IBIS but it is fair value downtown AND the host is the nicest and most helpful we have encountered AND there is an excelkent and full breakfastbreakfast "

"The entrance and access to the rooms was dirty and unwelcoming. There was a lot of noise from delivery trucks and garbage trucks. There was no reception to speak of and this made it difficult to organise anything like taxis etc to get around. Extremely rude and arrogant manager who swore and used foul language when we made a comment that he was not very helpful or courteous. The place itself once passed the entrance was lovely but there was no lift and no help with luggage up the stairs. ...
