The host was very friendly and helpful. The room is nicely decorated and cleans with very comfortable mattress and pillows. Sadly, we didn't get a chance to use the pool, as it is only open from 4pm to 7pm.

The staff was very welcoming and more than helpful. When we found ourselves in a bind because we needed fuel and the only service stations open were automated (which don't accept American credit cards), the hostess went with us and used her personal credit card to get us on the road again. (We paid her back with cash.)

We stayed 2 nights. The chateau hotel was beautifully decorated and surrounded by lush landscaping. The service was excellent. The room was clean and quiet. The air freshener that was sprayed in the room and throughout the hotel was a little too strong. Parking was free. Although we enjoyed the breakfast, we felt that it was mediocre for a luxury hotel. The location was convenient to drive to Sarlat, Marqueyssac garden, etc.

We booked a room at l'Auberge du Puit last august while traveling to France. As we were moving every night, I had to book a bunch of consecutive nights in different hotels. It turns out that I made a mistake on one of the dates and basically booked 2 hotel rooms the same night and none for the next day. The result is that we showed at 8 PM with kids and luggages to the l'Auberge du Puit, during one of the busiest holiday week-end in France, just to be informed that the room we booked was booked...

Place fantastique, tranquille, super bien aménagé pour un séjour parfait! Merci à Nelly & Franck pour l'acceuil, la joie de vivre et pour les multiple conseils. Sans oublier Meg qui nous a fait joué a la balle sur la terasse. Nous revenons avec de beaux souvenirs!

We had such a wonderful stay at La Sarlamandre. Our hosts, Stéphy and Séb were so kind and welcoming from the start. The rooms are very clean and feel brand new. Breakfast was delicious with homemade jams and cake. Everything was so perfect and their attention to detail made our stay so comfortable. We really felt at home. We were so sad to leave and wish we could’ve stayed longer! Merci beaucoup!

This property is located a short driving distance from l’Hospitalat and Rocamadour in a beautiful country setting, quiet and quaint. The staff was very helpful. Mathieu was very friendly and he welcomed us when we arrived and provided a very accurate description on where and how to go for dinner and to the main attractions. He was always available for any questions. Breakfast was just perfect every day, good variety and delicious. The room was particularly beautiful and clean and the grounds...

Excellent. Very comfortable, plenty of space, indoor pool, total quiet, well stocked fridge for guests, very good breakfast. Only minor issue is that the location is a bit remote from the nearest villages - definitely a car needed, not walking distance. Plus you will need Google Maps to find it (may not be a bad thing!).

This place was absolutely wonderful. Clean and comfortable, beautiful surroundings and our hosts couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. Great breakfast, too. Close to many villages as well as Sarlat, without being in the thick of the city. Would definitely stay there again if I return.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is hard to find hotels that will accommodate a family of 5 (two adults, three kids) all in one room. The room we had was comfortable and spacious for our family. The kids loved the play area outside. It was too cold in April to use the pool. The location was convenient for exploring the Lot and Dordogne areas.

Property was beautiful, excellent dining w town nearby when restaurant is closed. Room was nice. Bed comfortable. Staff very warm and engaging!
