"The staff were lovely and check-in was quick and easy. The hotel is in a great location, which made getting around very convenient.
Unfortunately, the overall experience was let down by the smell throughout the floor. It had a strong musty, old smoke smell, and I’m not sure if we were on a smoking floor, but it was quite noticeable. The room itself also had a musty smell on arrival.
The bedding and room were clean, but there were some visible stains and areas that looked like shower mould, which made the room feel less fresh.
With some attention to the odour and maintenance details, this could be a much better stay, as the staff and location were both positives."
