"The house is walking distance to a great beach and a Main Street of small shops! It’s a short drive to Sleeping Bear sand dunes, which was a huge hit with our group!!The house was full of charm & character and clean. We were able to comfortably sleep 5 adults and 6 kids. It was a great space, everyone was happy with the lay out and flow. We could cook, eat and chill together and then retreat to our private rooms.This house exceeded my expectations. The host had great communication as well."

"Lovely b&b within walking distance of Empire and only a 10 minute drive from beautiful Glen Arbor. We were in the Empire room which was very compact with a small double bed and wouldn’t be suitable for anyone who was on the tall/large size. Bathroom was also very small. Plenty of choice at breakfast."

"Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at this home. It was laid out well for gathering to play games, watch the World Cup, eating meals, and the backyard space was nice for relaxing/yard games. There was lots of outdoor furniture not reflected in the listing. The decor was fun a MI beach/cherry theme! Lots of towels, blankets, and space to prepare meals. The kitchen is well stocked for meals in. The walk to the beach was further than our usual 10 minute walk and we opted to drive, but none of us minded because we enjoyed coming home to this beautiful space. However, the Grocer’s Daughter was a short walk for coffee, cookies, and gelato! We would definitely rent this home again, thank you for having us."

"Great location in Empire. The place was very cozy and great for a family. Our son loved trying the bunk bed! We didn’t use the backyard as we were exhausted but a great set up for fires out back. Walkable to the beach as well. Not a ton of food options in Empire and a few places were cash only. Also the parking is in front on the easement instead of any side driveway - but the neighbor was very friendly to help point that out!"

"This is a lovely new cottage. It was spotlessly clean. We liked the beds, bathrooms, kitchen, and quiet neighborhood. The property manager was very responsive to my many questions. We seniors found the low seating furniture uncomfortable to sit in. I suggest they leave a binder somewhere with basic instructions. For example, we couldn’t figure out how to adjust the thermostat because we had never encountered one like it before (and we’ve used VRBOs many times). Otherwise, great experience!"

"The Empire Beach House has been a favorite spot of ours for several years. The home has recently been beautifully updated throughout making it modern yet still cozy. It is organized and has everything you need for your beach getaway. The deck and views are amazing. We had an excellent experience with the co-hosts who connected with us in advance and throughout the stay. Great electronic guide to the property and surrounding area was also provided."

"It was close to the Empire beach and Sleeping Bear sites. The home was clean and had a well-equipped kitchen. The weather was cool so we enjoyed the fireplace. Very family friendly. Check in and out was great. Empire is a nice town. We would definitely come back to this location. One minor thing that could be improved — towels. Kitchen could use more and bath towels are getting worn. "
