Eh.

Although the service at the front desk was good, our room was not what we had asked for. At booking we asked for a king sized bed and a crib as we were traveling with an infant and we got two queen beds because they had overbooked their hotel. We booked for 2 days,The vent in the bathroom did not work and the bathroom was always feeling muggy. The ice machine wasn't working, and the pool didnt seem clean. We hadn't done much research on the area where the hotel was, it just didn't feel safe. Overall we pretty much were there to sleep.

Never again

Desk clerk was not real helpful. She was in her own world and was not as friendly as you would expect. Key did not work to room and had to walk all the way back to desk where the clerk proceeded to imply that it was probably my fault. Upon returning to the room, the key dd not appear to work again. After allowing the key to sit in the door for more than a minute, it finally opened. As this was a prepaid room, I decided to just go elsewhere.

Hotel 502 in Phoenix, Arizona

I had to get a last minute hotel and found Hotel 502 in Phoenix, Arizona. As i pulled up to the hotel, I was not sure if I was in the right place. There were no lights in the parking lot and the hotel looked like a Bates Motel from the outside and I feared for my safety in that area of town. My Uber driver had even mentioned that " she would not even feel safe leaving me at such a place". So I ended up looking for another hotel from another website. Hotel 502 was such a disappointment as well as cheaptickets.com that I cannot recommend the hotel and use cheaptickets.com after the customer service experience and the way it was handled.

I recommend this hotel to my mother, so it's good enough for you. Excellent, excellent customer services, very friendly, no bugs, very quite, clean, they even extended or checkout stay. Clean pool. Great price.

The pictures fooled me

Apon getting there i was shocked at how lonley it seemed to be and seeing that it was the weekend it was really slow. The shower didnt work so i had to switch rooms

Save your money

One of the worse hotels I've stayed in. Beds were NOT comfortable. Bedding was rough. Building smelled. I'm surprised the shower head height met any building code. Some science here for those interested. The average adult male height is approximately 70 inches with a standard deviation of 4 inches. Therefore, 68% of adult males are between 66 and 74 inches in height. I'm just over 75 inches tall, so well within a reasonable height range. The shower head in this hotel was at the level of my collar bone. There is ZERO excuse for this in public accommodations. There are plenty of products on the market that can elevate the shower head without having to do a complete plumbing overhaul. The cheep SOBs that own and operate this hotel can't be bothered with providing reasonable accommodations. If you are super short, or don't mind having to get on your knees to wash your hair, then feel free to visit this pathetic excuse for a hotel. Otherwise, I highly suggest you find another place to stay.

It was goodnight but two people that worked the front were really rude and said we smoked in the room but we didn't. It was because of dirty shoes marking the sheets so we lost our deposit.

Didnt even stay. Hotel looked abandoned from the front as there was dumpster and a empty parking lot. Only 1 elevator worked hallways are hot and dark. Room was remodeled but they left a 90s fat back TV. Pool area was nice.

Vending machine revenue, Guest satiety.....

I, actually, made commwnt to several deskclerks suggesting that placing updated snack and beverages could prove profitable in several ways. There were 2-3 beverage machines and one snack machine The snack machine was practilly inaccessable only accepting $1 bills or pocket change. It wouldnt accept any higher denomination and getting change from the hotel was not an option. My stay was pleasant, but unavailability or limited food, sodas, snacks could prove a dealbreaker and lost profitability. thomas

Good hotel could be better.

First time there. The rooms were good size. But cable box was falling off wall. Blood splattered on back of bathroom door. Then o heard the have brand new remodeled on other side. Just suprise the put me in broke down side. Not a good first impression. Seemed like any body could just walk on in.

Worst hotel experience ever.

The front desk staff was always gone. There was nothing but gangsters in the area. The first room that was given to us reeked even though it was a non-smoking room. When we were checking out at 5:00 AM (no one at the front desk only a phone number to call) a car had its windows broken. When I called the lady with the phone left on the 24 hour front desk, the lady said itheor security had already been made aware. At no point did we ever see a security in the first place, but 30 minutes later still nobody had showed up. Worst experience ever!!

Horrible place

There was no staff at the front desk, you had to call and wait for someone. It was supposed to be non-smoking, our floor and room were horrible smoke smelly! We could smell people smoking in the morning. OH and the morning! Expect to be woke up by the maid! and if you are not out of the room, she keeps pestering you, and then brings in the manager to tell you to hurry up! The beds were uncomfortable, the shades were torn. There were a total of 3 cars in the whole parking lot and we were told we couldn't get a late checkout! It was rediculous. Would NEVER stay there again! There is only one ice maker for the entire hotel, and you get to guess where it is, cause it's not well posted!

The pool was the only nice thing....

My experience with my family was horrible...we went to sleep then woke up to the door being open and looking like it was broken into.....soooooooo scary . They did change us room but didn't seem bother by it except for the maintenance guy( thank you, he was such a sweetheart). The pool was very nice especially at night.

Not much to like

First impressions were "is this place open" as there were two cars in the entire parking lot. Pulled into the closest spot to door and checked in. Front desk clerk was dressed like he was called in on his day off. A friend had recommended based on location and said they had just been renovated. Full disclosure, I saw on their website they were renovating and no guarantee on which room you'd get. Asked clerk if any newly renovated rooms available and he said they hadn't started yet. Took a second floor room in south building. Now I recognize they haven't been renovated yet, but the place was just down right dirty. Carpet and floors hadn't been vacuumed for some time. Room was spacious, but I just had a "dirty" feeling. It was late so I stayed the night. Woke up to leave for breakfast and found the hood of my car covered in bird poop. Was a little disappointed the clerk never alerted me not to park there. Came back from breakfast to see some little critters crawling across the lobby floor. I've lived in AZ for 30 years and know there are roaches, just never seen them in a hotel. Then when I got into my room, saw several more. Decided this wasn't the place for me and checked out. New clerk was gracious and never asked any details and provided a full refund of my future nights. All in all, location is decent, nice parking, nice pool. If they spend time and money renovating the right way, this place could have a chance. But in its current condition.

A place to sleep and that's all.

Traveling to visit a college and my teen hated the place. I've stayed in worse. I thought it was clean but dated, in a questionable neighborhood. The breakfast buffet left much to be desired, and the staff was arguing over who's responsibility it was. If there was someone responsible, they weren't doing their job.

Bad smell, rundown rooms, loud and noisy halls, housekeeping knocked on door over and over not just once but twice, even with "do not disturb sign up".
