"We had to modify our trip when we arrived in Vietnam as our daughter fell very sick on the first day. We had no feedback from the hotel, despite the fact that our request was just to postpone our arrival. Customer service was inexistent."

"This is a very clean property in a good area. One block from the river. The room was very spacious. Some music coming in from the outdoor venue opposite, but nothing problematic just be aware. Breakfast is available for five dollars with a nice selection. The hotel staff were very kind. When I didn’t arrive at a location that I was picking up a tour from on time they sent Ahmed to find me, and I jumped on the back of his motorbike, and apologized for being so tardy. The one thing I would mention is the room price was on my bill, and had I not checked my Expedia app. I may have paid for it twice, which would’ve been very frustrating. It’s a good hotel."

"There is a great write up in the recent Lonely Planet Guide about Murray Guesthouse being a wonderful addition to the Chau Doc accommodation options... a great guest lounge, roof terrace, bar, pool table and great breakfast. Sadly no longer... none of these exists! Instead we had a poor welcome, accusing us of having cancelled, the bedside lights didn't work, our friend had no toilet paper or a toilet that flushed. It is very cheap to stay there and it is clean, but that is it."

"Excellent experience with the receptionist who helped us with travel arrangements the following day and help get us aquainted to Vietnam as was our first day in the country. She really went out of her way and made us feel welcome thank you."
