"Family and friends gathered at Al Bastini to explore the Lucca region. The Villa was wonderfully appointed and very comfortable. The pool was a big hit with the grandkids and the outdoor wood fired BBQ was used multiple times throughout the week. The owners have a great collection of books that cover Tuscany and Italian cooking. I wish I could have stayed a month so I could sit and read and gaze over the spectacular views. "Fabrizio's house is magnificent. Typical and surrounded by olive trees, it is also beautifully decorated down to the last detail and perfectly equipped. Our host was extremely kind and attentive to our needs whenever we asked, and at the same time very discreet. We arrived relatively late, but he had done some shopping for us so we could have dinner and had even set the table! "We booked this property last year with great expectations and after our 9 day stay it has exceeded everything we hoped for. Our host Isabella was the best and helped with recommendations and the little things that set this property apart from others in the area.
