Top Piesting Hotel Reviews

Sporthotel am Semmering

8/10 Good

"The room was small but comfortable and the staff were very helpful. The view of Semmering and the valley below was beautiful. If travelling by train, ask about access to the regional RUFbus for a low-cost/free shuttle to the hotel and other destinations in the region."

Hotel Herzoghof

8/10 Good

"Lovely historic hotel with spacious rooms. No air-conditioning but small fans supplied. Most rooms have balcony and park view. Well appointed rooms. Friendly reception staff but reception closes at 6.00pm, so later arrivals collect key from box and dont meet hotel staff until the following day. Restaurant and bar is operated by a separate business, not by the hotel. Breakfast staff are neither welcoming nor attentive. Disappointing breakfast, almost no fresh fruit, none at all one morning, just a bowl of apples another morning. Breakfast staff do not top up when items are gone, except for some bread rolls. They are more interested in clearing tables almost before you have finished eating. Coffee machine is difficult to use and milk runs out frequently. We have stayed here previously when breakfast was superb, but hotel ownership has since changed. We didn't use the restaurant following the poor breakfast experience."

Stasta

8/10 Good

"The living and bed rooms are clean. This toilet is also clean but has no mirror. The bathroom is clean and has a mirror. There is a good-sized refrigerator but no pressing iron and ironing board. When these items were requested, they provided a good-sized ironing board and the smallest-sized pressing iron that looks like a toy for little kids. They charged a terrorism fee that was not included in their website. No wonder they demanded our US passports at the check-in. They have friendly staff, who are always willing to make us comfortable and feel at home."

Hotel Karl-Wirt

10/10 Excellent

"My sister and I really enjoyed our stay at Karl Wirt. We had the raised toilet seat we had asked for, with a good sized bathroom. We were puzzled by not having a plug for the bathroom basin when we wanted to wash, but the toilet paper came in handy to plug the hole. The other problem seemed to be relating to the air conditioning as we could 't get the room cool enough at times. I know we were their when the temperature outside reached the high 20sC most of the time. We must say that the staff were excellent and helped us with our questions. One other problem was on a Sunday evening, when we couldn't get anything to eat, as the restaurant was closed on as Sunday, which we didn't realise until too late, and the hotel didn't have any means of providing food, but we could at least get drinks."
