"The staff was very helpful but thought the price was very high as I only paid £ 57 for a night in a 4 star hotel with sea view on the Thursday week before as it was a last minute booking like this was I didn’t realise it was above a pub and with an awful view out the window and the pillow gave me neck ache but staff changed it no bother very helpful I lee"

"It's fine. I wouldn't call it 4 star. Simply because the bathroom needs to be updated. The TV has no sports channels which is strange when The Open is being played down the street. Scottish open being played just hours north of us. For 4 stars I don't expect to shower in a tub unless I requested to."

"Room was dirty. Full of dust. Bed was extremely hard. Didn't sleep for the 2 nights we stayed. Needs a major refurbishment. The staff were lovely though"

"I had a lovely stay! Cliff was a wonderful host and the breakfasts were very tasty. I was visiting Southport solo to see where my father was born. It's a cute town and this lodging is highly recommended."

"Lovely large room . Well set out heating / cooling facilities made things very comfortable. Breakfast was well set out sadly we weren't able to take full advantage of what was on offer. Evenibg meal was also good value for money."
