"Room was ok but too expensive for what you got. First hotel I’ve been to in Portugal with no coffee maker. Sink didn’t drain (had to use hand in dirty water), a few sockets didn’t work, safe was difficult to open, and literally no room for suitcases. Staff was really good and so was breakfast. I won’t stay again because there are so many better options."

"There was no AC or fan and the room was hot. The restaurants were sorely lacking in variety, the bathroom didnt even have hand soap. No bathroom counter space. I wasnt impressed considering it was recently renovated. They gave a breakfast bag that was a complete embarrassment. It felt like staying in a dorm room."

"Unfortunately we had a hiccups when checking in as their system was down and they couldn't confirm when it will be running again. We were worried if we should look for another hotel as they kept saying they can't check us in and we have to wait as long as needed. We ended up going for dinner and when we got back the system was up and running again. Other than that everything else was nice"

The rooms were of decent size and fine, bathroom was very nice. Location is great and we were able to get around Lisbon easily on foot or by metro/tram."

"My family and I had an extremely disappointing experience at Evolution Hotel in Lisbon, and I would not recommend it to anyone.To begin with, the bathroom design is poorly executed and borderline unsafe. The shower is cramped, with almost no space to move, and the floor is uneven and excessively slippery, creating a genuine hazard. The wall-mounted holder was broken, causing toiletries to fall repeatedly, which was both frustrating and unacceptable. The glass doors for both the shower and toilet constantly shifted, adding to the discomfort. The entire bathroom layout feels impractical—separating key areas instead of creating a cohesive, functional space. While the “futuristic” design may appeal to some, it is far from comfortable and completely unsuitable for anyone with claustrophobia. Even basic features like adequate knee space in the toilet area were neglected. The elevator system was equally frustrating. The requirement to scan a card is poorly indicated, and the system itself is inefficient and confusing. A simple trip to the lobby turned into a pointless journey across multiple floors. The room door was another issue—it did not close properly without being forced. A hotel room door should function smoothly, not require effort from multiple people to shut. Additionally, the lack of proper sound insulation made it impossible to rest. Noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms was constant, making it unsuitable for light sleepers.
