Me and my girlfriend stayed here for her birthday, It was a great place right on the strip next too all the fun restaurants and shops . We will definitely be back soon . Some reviews say this place isn’t the best but we didn’t mind the noise at night and the room was super cute and clean .

Location and economy

Very well located, right next to the mall that runs through downtiwn Playa del Carmen. Also, very economical for the location and quality of the property. Decorated in an industrial style, was a safe, quiet place to return to at the end of a hectic day

Amazing location

The hotel is pleasant, and humble, spacious & affordable with all the amenities. The pool was the highlight of our trip and of course the AC. It’s centrally located on 5th avenue with a variety of clubs in every corner. There is a club connected to the hotel so if you’re not here to party I suggest you stay somewhere else noise comes from all angles. Theres a club across the street as well. I can say we had an incredible stay the hotel is clean, communication is clear the workers are the sweetest and do everything to make you feel welcome. Definitely a must stay if you come to playa. So many delicious restaurants around and so close to the beach. 10 out of 10

Staff very friendly and helpful . Room was kept very clean . Bed very comfortable , linen kept clean and in good condition. Without an elevator the stairwell is challenging because there is no handrail and quite dark . Other than that I would stay there again as the location is great for getting around town .

The pool and pool area was really gross. I didn’t see anyone clean it once. There is no bar in the pool area either. The room was nice and the property is clean, but the pool area was terrible. We ended up getting day passes at other hotels. It’s also diagonal from a second floor open air club so it’s pounding music so loud it felt like it was right outside our door. It’s open every night until 3. We actually ended up just staying at another hotel we got a day pass at the last night because we needed a better sleep.

The night club downstairs was blasting music till 3am. It was so loud, it seemed like the speakers were IN the room. My wife woke up freezing because the bed had no blankets. Only a single sheet. She had to wrap herself in sweaters.

I really love the aesthetic of this property. The staff were extremely hospitable and very kind. They made me feel at home. The area is also very convenient as it is in the middle of the busier street with all the fun, parties, restaurants, shopping centres. It was very easy to go back home to change or grab something and then head back out to go in with my day. I couldn’t have imagined a better place to stay at for this trip and would definitely look at coming back again in the future!

Overall we had a good stay. Good location, clean, nice staff. The parking is underground and difficult/tide to access it. But safe to keep your car. The bathroom plumbing makes noises every time some else in other rooms uses it. The bathroom door made a loud noise every time you close it. Due to the proximity to the 5 Avenue you can hear the loud music. But the business starts to close after 12pm some days and others are opened after midnight. If you are a light sleeper the location is not good. For us was nice to be able to walk to the beach, restart, etc.

Great location, if you can find it!

Positives: good WiFi, clean, breakfast ok, nice people, Location. Negatives: poor signage/almost impossible to find walking, very noisy at 1-2am because of neighbors and their kids, shower floods the floor no matter what you do, elevator doesn’t work (maybe for years! )See picture how they cover it up. Dark hallways and stairways. You get ONE key so when you leave the room the power goes off. If you are on the 4th floor and have bad knees you will be in pain!

Super disappointing. I booked two nights to stay here in May. When I arrived the place was under reconstruction for the pool and no facilities were available- NO POOL in summer! I expressed my disappointment and the manager said he will refund me 1 night if I stay one night. I agreed and gave them a hand written complaint AND my bank details. I have been chasing the refund for the second night for months!! Now they are ignoring my messages and I haven’t received anything. Do not stay here.

Unfortunate Carribean Experience

Our stay at carribean was with mixed feelings. The hotel service was good when asking the personel. We experienced an overall neglected hotel by the pool especially and they were renovering a new elevator. The pool area was not clean in the Morning. Because of heavy rain the hotel was dripping in water resulting in guests slipping from the stairs. Also the hotel is situated just above a bar playing loud Music until 1.30am. But this is of course Playa del Carmen. The bar by the pool was also closed. A lot of smell Coming from the drains in the room.

I usually don't write reviews but this stay needed one. The room had no hand soap, no complimentary water, bedsheets had a red stain on it, shampoo stand was very rusty, and the cleaner forgot her dirty cleaning cloth on my stuff. When I told reception about these things, they did absolutely nothing about it when they said they will. I'm very disappointed with the service provided.
