Very friendly staff, and nice rooms. Great location by the beach. Restaurant was under renovation when we visited, but the breakfast offered at nearby Thompson main house was really good. Hotel next door was very noisy, with music from early day to late in the night.

Loved staying in downtown Playa del Carmen on the beach. Close to everything. the place is amazing and the location couldn.t be better. Would defiantly book here again and recommend to all my friends.

Nice small hotel on the water. Rooms are large, modern, and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient. Pool area is very small and there is no beach to speak of, but you can use the other Thompson Hotel's pool which is larger a lot nicer.

Hyatt channeling Motel 6.

This hotel is in a great location. We have stayed here multiple times. We got a large suite for the new year and were treated like juveniles. I get that people abuse rooms but as repeat guests and loyalty rewards members you'd have thought Hyatt would have done some homework as to who was staying there.

We have stayed here before and love the hotel, staff, location and view but since the last time here there seems to be a competition to see who can be louder with the DJ music. We stay here to listen to the waves not the loud music.

Awful service from front desk person, we just stayed one night and cancelled the rest. Hotel is in front of a restaurant that is very loud during the night. Not a good hotel to bring families.
