"The pool was the BEST part about where we stayed! The kitchen did have a coffee maker, small fridge, a hot plate type burner to cook on and plates, utensils, etc. You do have to provide your own coffee, water etc, nothing comes included. "

There is a great little store, a restaurant/pizza place and brewery. The fishing excursions with guides via morning kayak and afternoon panga provided plenty of our food!I suggest renting ATVs to share for the week.They offer everyone in the group independence and a wonderful way to explore the peninsula. "Exceptional home in an ideal location, away from the noise and dust in Santa Teresa yet close enough for easy access to beaches and restaurants. The host, Ruth, lives next door and was super helpful. The house was very well equipped, the pool was large and clean, and we loved the authentic community feel in Mal Pais. The Mal Pais beaches are not the best but it's a short drive to Playa Carmen and Playa Hermosa, which are both incredible. Montezuma is also only 30 mins away and is a wonderful day trip. Highly recommend!"
