"We attended a concert at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City and booked a room for the night. While the concert was excellent, our stay at the Hard Rock was far from it.
After checking in, we went up to the room to get ready and immediately noticed the toilet had clearly not been cleaned. It was dirty all over including the lid, the seat, and also underneath with what appeared to be smeared blood. It was extremely disturbing and unpleasant.
I called to have it cleaned but was stalled for about 10 minutes by an AI phone system that kept asking the same endless unnecessary questions before finally reaching someone.
Eventually, housekeeping came while we were at the concert and cleaned things up, but the initial impression stayed with us for the of our stay.
After we returned and went to sleep, we were woken up around 3:00 AM by loud, repeated banging from the room above, which kept dropping and dragging furniture. This went on for 30–45 minutes until I finally called the front desk who sent security and got them to stop.
No guest paying $500+ night for a room anywhere should have to deal with issues like this, especially when it comes to basic cleanliness and repeated disturbances at that time of night. Based on this experience, we will not be returning to the Hard Rock."
