"My family, friends, and I had the best of times at Marcus' enchanted chateau. The place itself is even nicer and more exciting than the photos, the pool such a phantastic and in the summer heat welcome addition and the surrounding region full of beauty and stories. But the best of all is the gracious and helpful host himself who is doing such an amazing job with the chateau restauration. We felt he had become a friend in the short time we stayed there. "A Truly Unforgettable Hidden Gem in Bordeaux. 10 stars out of 5. First and most important – the place was renovated few years ago. EVERYTHING is brand new. Rooms are specious, bathrooms are huge, and have everything you need. Rooms have AC. Property has pool, pool house, gym, tennis court, BBQ place AND gardens, endless gardens, with fruit trees, thousand-year-old olive trees, pines, oaks and etc. You can walk gardens, enjoy weather, sunrise or sunset, it is so relaxing. It is absolutely OK to walk vineyard and enjoy growth of grapes which will soon become a most delicious wine. Notes to the travelers: - Rental car is a MUST. This is remote area, and you will need a car. Once you have a car, you can drive to Bordeaux, 30 min, Saint Emilion – 30 min, Arcachon – 1 hour (to see largest dune in Europe) and other places, and then return to paradise. Driving is super easy in that region. - French, English, Russian, Chinese are spoken on the property – which makes it super convenient. "

"Wow. This is a beautiful, truly magnificent, property with stunning views of the Bordeaux countryside. Beautiful days and stunning evenings amongst the Semillon vines are just a few of the amazing features of this property. The pictures do not do justice to how beautiful, and nicely laid out this property proved to be. The house is magnificently well decorated with lots of amenities. The host was gracious and communicative. The neighboring vintner/winemaker (Jean-Guy) was a joy to meet. He helped to make a visit a very special one. We will absolutely comeback when we next visit France and plan to stay longer next time. What a treat!. "
