"This is a very nice hotel, very clean and beautiful setting. Getting to it is an absolute nightmare. One has to travel down almost 2 miles of dirt, gravel road up the side of a mountain, the GPS that I was using got completely confused and sent me down the wrong dirt road, someone from the hotel had to come to the town square to lead me cause it was impossible to find the place. Once there the hotel was great, staff from friendly and pleasant. If one is going to stay here make sure to rent a 4x4...

"The Cristian Inn is a dream near Braşov. The staff was incredible and so friendly. Our room was huge and wonderful. We had parking right by the door the whole stay. Experience Romanian rural life in it's purest form by visiting the small farming community of Sinca Noua. There are few modern tools used and it feels like a giant step back in time. Arranged through villagelife.ro, we stayed with a local family for four days. We helped in the fields, learned how to make traditional dishes, even took in a music recital and local church festivities. The hosts knew little English but that added to the charm and we were able to pick up some Romanian. This is an impressive initiative to bring tourism to rural areas, and one that we can't rave about enough! Considering today's issues of overtourism especially - as travelers we should be frequenting the road less traveled. #TroverRT
