"I have mixed feelings about our stay at 20 Degrés Sud. Firstly, I must say that it is a beautiful hotel with some lovely views over the bay. It is, however, overpriced in my opinion, compared with other places we stayed at in Mauritius. Generally speaking, the service is good, apart from a couple of waiters who managed to spoil our dining experience. "The staff is excellent and exceptionally helpful. Special thanks to receptionist Dini, buggy driver Sanjeev, trip coordinator Melanie, and the wait staff who remembered everything about us. Met some delightful people. The grounds are lush and beautiful. Temperatures of air and ocean are ideal (Oct.). Caution for those who have difficulty with stairs or long walks. There are workarounds, but they require golf carts (“buggies”) to be called."

Nice rooms which have what one needs, very good service of nice, dedicated personel which can be asked anything at anytime. "A free water taxi takes you to an outdoor shopping mall with some premium stores as well as local crafts. Several restaurants and more touristy souvenir shops as well. Did not try the light rail station nearby. A nice hotel away from the noise and bustle of the city yet close enough to walk to most attractions. "
