"Hot water was a rare commodity, available at certain irregular times....usually for an hour or 2 in the evening, almost never in the mornings. When we were checking out, the host tried to charge us a fee from our deposit because we had not mopped the floor. We had tidied everything, cleared rubbish, and cleaned work surfaces...but overlooked the floor. Though considering there was no cleaning service provided through our 10 night stay, i thought this was a bit out of order. "

"Overall, our stay at the home was very pleasant. If you are looking for a way to immerse yourself in Mauritius as a “local” then I would recommend staying here. The home is right on the beach with a west facing view so it gets beautiful sunsets. Devi the house manager is also great and comes to keep the place clean and tidy during your stay. The host is responsive as well.Of note, Devi only speaks French so the language barrier can be tough if you don’t know the language. I would also recommend giving the home number in the address within check in instructions. It was very difficult to find the house without it."
