Cataract Lake Rental - Are you looking for an Indiana Adventure?

Guests will enjoy a newly renovated home located just 1 mile from a DNR launch onto Cataract Lake - the lake is pristine as there are no homes on the lake allowing bald eagles, deer, turkey, etc. to flourish. The home is located within a lake community. Enjoy the outdoor experiences with all the modern indoor accommodations all while experiencing some of the best fishing in Indiana. Rent a kayak and head up to scenic Cataract Falls or simply relax on the lake. Lieber State Park Recreation Area is only 5.5 miles from the front door - great for hiking, site seeing, spending a day on the beach, or visiting their swimming pool with a water slide.

McCormicks Creek Park is also just a short ride to some great hiking trails and beautiful grounds.

Located approximately 30 miles from the greatest hidden winery in Indiana - Owen Valley Winery. Great for a relaxing glass of wine.

Lions, Tigers, Cheetahs... oh my! Only 15 miles from the Exotic Feline Rescue Center. With about 200 exotic felines calling the EFRC home, they are one of the largest rescue centers in the United States for abused, unwanted, and neglected exotic felines. Great for the kids and adults! (Due to covid restrictions this attraction may not be open to the public yet. Please check their website for details)

Nice location to the lake!
Clean home with all necessary amenities and then some. Semi-secluded with privacy and the home was safe and secure to leave your belongings outdoors.

First impression was not good. I actually thought we had the wrong address or some mistake had been made. Not anywhere in the ad, do I remember it saying we would be staying in a single wide trailer. There were no pictures of the actual house which is deceiving in itself. The pictures were done in such a way to make things appear larger for example the back yard appeared a very decent size yard but upon arrival it was a small patch of land. We chose this location because of the yard size for our very active boys who love soccer and throwing the baseball around. The inside of the trailer was very clean though. The temperature was very suitable along with the back porch. I understand that we were in the middle of the woods but, the house could have been sprayed with a repellent to include wasps and spiders. Again the inside was very fulfilling and the owners have thought of almost every thing for amenities. Overall, I give it a 3 out of 5.

They have thought of everything. The house was very well stocked with everything you could think of . List of thing to do in the area. Some board games. Tons of little touches that make a difference. I recommend staying if your looking in this area.

Great last minute stay
Very clean property! Great communication with host who was very accommodating with our last minute booking. Enjoyed the small extras....bottle of wine and mints on pillows. Can't think of any problems at all! Enjoyed a last minute meet up in a central location to our college kids. Enjoyed dinner at the cataract lake lodge and checking out state parks in the area as well as just hanging out on property as a family!

Unfortunate
I'm unsure about reviews of this listing. The listers were communicative, but this is where the good stops. The home was very dirty, both porches didn't feel safe to be on due to the rotting wood. The neighborhood itself was somewhat quirky but the surrounding area is absolutely trashed and not one that we'd want to explore again.

EXCELLENCE as ALWAYS!!
This was the 2nd time we stayed at this home and it didn't disappoint. The owners are great at communicating, friendly, quick to respond and professional. The house is very clean, well stocked and comfortable. The neighborhood is quite and well maintained. We enjoyed the fall colors during our drives and loved visiting the state parks nearby. We picked this property because, we loved our stay the first time and because our fuzzy kid can stay with us. The back is fenced in so she can explore and do her business without being on a leash.. We would definitely stay again and recommend this home to anyone coming to the area.
