"This is an old fashioned motor court, not a modern fancy hotel. I like these nostalgic motels, but it might or might not be your cup of tea. The manager was sweet and helpful, eager to make sure everything was to my liking. The room was a bit dated, but neat as a pin and absolutely no unpleasant smells - not just nonsmoking, but no cleaning chemical smells either. The fridge/freezer was clean and cold, the microwave also clean. Plenty of pillows on a comfortable bed. There were windows front and back and a desk where I could work while in the room.
The room would benefit from machine for tea and coffee. They only had coffee in the small front office. I bought a mug and some tea bags at the nearby Stop & Shop and microwaved water for tea which worked OK.
Again a caveat; it did not bother me, but over the back fence was a trailer home neighborhood but they were well kept up with flowers in the yards. "
Amazing Waterfront Home in Branford Private Beach🏖 Panoramic Water Views+Hot Tub
10/10 Excellent
"We’ve been traveling back to Connecticut for 18 years and have stayed in a wide variety of homes. Without a doubt, this is the best one yet. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home, probably because she and her very helpful husband raised their family here. You can feel it.Carol was an exceptional host; responsive, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a wonderful stay. The home is immaculate, clean, cozy, and huge! Every detail has been considered, from the spotless hot tub (not always a given, we've found!) to the room-darkening blinds that allowed us to finally sleep in on vacation, something most rentals overlook. The kitchen is gorgeous, well-stocked, and functional, making it easy to cook and hang out. And the private beach is absolute heaven. Peaceful, quiet, and just across the street. The neighborhood is lovely. We walked every day, taking in the beauty of the area. Neighbors were what I call "New England friendly", and not at all intrusive. We’ve stayed in many vacation homes over nearly two decades, but Carol’s absolutely stands out. It was SO hard to leave. We’re already planning our return next summer."

"First time in Connecticut, and this stay was a pleasant surprise. Came for a wedding at the Owenego, we were sooo close to the venue. Communication with Jane was great she even gave us some nice recommendations. The washer/dryer was a plus. Thanks Jane!"
"We had a fantastic time at the cottage. We were coming from a family event in another state and found that even though this house was smaller in size, it was far better stocked with well-thought out amenities and helpful items for having a great stay. (One example: The other house lacked any place to hang a towel; we marveled that this house has a half-dozen different hooks or towel bars readily available for use.) The A/C worked really well despite it being a 90-degree heat wave.We found Jenna and Tony to be incredibly helpful in promptly answering questions. Additionally, we accidentally left an item behind and they went above and beyond to reunite it with us. We could not have been happier with our choice of houses to stay."
