"This really was a most magical place to visit, the peace and calm of the area was just what I needed after hectic working weeks! I wish I had stayed longer to enjoy more of the spa, the village is hard to get to, and very small but the hotel makes up for that. The night we stayed there was a lightning storm and the hotel came to collect us from the local pizza restaurant which was so kind! A lovely places with lovely staff, cannot recommend highly enough! "Lovely view of Lake Como and Lecco from the top floor. Staff were polite and welcoming. Bus stop was less than 100yards away - with good transport to Lecco station and Bellagio. I went for a room upgrade with a lake view terrace - I didn’t use the terrace as much as I’d hoped as there were insects and mosquitoes there - so bring some repellent with you if you go for that option. Although this is much quieter than Lecco and other larger towns, there is still traffic passing through and plenty of people walking up and down the lake front next to the hotel - so it isn’t silent, there is still some life around you. "
"Although parking is easy and near , you have to be ready to park off premises. The hotel is amazing, we need a large mirror in the rooms. Other than these all is very good and clean and everyone is very friendly "
"Me and my family stayed here for a week to go to my brother’s wedding up in Belagio. This place is beautiful and the view is also amazing from the dock. Luciano and his wife were very welcoming and accommodated all of our needs as much as they could. Breakfast options was also great. The locals are very friendly , I befriended two of the local business owners around the area as well. The room we stayed in was the biggest one in the top , we loved the sun roofs. Overall the room service was also great. I definitely recommend Don Abbondio. "
"The staff was unbelievable. So sweet and helpful. We were supposed to stay one night and extended a second. There is a super cute area that is walking distance. The hotel is quiet and beautiful. The restaurants and views are amazing. Renting a boat around the area is also super easy. 10/10! Oh and they are kid and dog friendly. The only thing is I wish the pool was better positioned but whatever. "
