"The residence is around 25–30 minutes above Lecco and offers stunning scenery, peaceful surroundings, friendly staff, and a freshly cooked breakfast made to order. The online reviews are accurate, and both the hotel and previous guests strongly recommend travelling by car, as taxis can cost €35–45 each way and many firms are reluctant to travel up to the property. Returning after a day exploring the area and watching the sunset from high above was truly relaxing.
One thing to note is that the hotel does not serve dinner, and there are no nearby restaurants, so it is important to eat before returning in the evening.
During our stay, which was shortened from two nights to one due to other commitments, we unfortunately discovered a large number of ants riddled all over the bathroom and living area of our room late at night after returning from a long day out. The owner did what they could by arranging for housekeeping to vacuum them up, but it appeared to be an issue that had happened before, likely coming through cracks between the bathroom tiles and walls. While we understand the property is located on a farm, we did not expect ants inside the bedroom.
Despite this unfortunate experience, the property is lovely overall, and I would stay again — next time for longer to enjoy more of the surroundings and the hotel itself."
