"Check in was conveniently simplified as we received a friendly text explaining room and facilities access. This really helped as we may have needed to arrive later than planned. The bed and the shower were great as these are usually the two factors that put us off from rebooking a Motel. We did have traffic noise but the Motel is located on a major road which gave us easy access to everywhere in Whyalla."

"Wow! Outstanding winner of our best motel award. Friendly welcome and check-in ready. The newly installed units were amazing, extremely well appointed, warm and comfortable. We are certain that they would be as welcoming in hot weather. Great view across to the Flinders Ranges, and a first-class bathroom were the most significant aspects of our stay. Only a few of the 80 or so units have the view, as it is a single level motel. The only disappointment was that they do not provide a hot breakfast, in room or as a buffet, but provide an optional “boxed lunch”. Nonetheless it is difficult to fault. Recommend as good value."

"The North Star Inn is a lovely place to stay. This was our second stay in this same room. Melrose is conveniently positioned to break up the drive from Port Lincoln to Adelaide. The room with ensuite bathroom is spacious, clean and well appointed. The location in Melrose is ideal with easy access to the North Star Inn (obviously) and other venues in the area. We recommend this accommodation. "

"We were in Whyalla for a dance weekend. The cabins are spacious and comfortable. It is great to have a kitchen so I could prepare some supper required to be shared at the dance. I could not find a full length mirror which would have been handy to check what I was wearing was ok. We would stay again as the cabin suited our needs."
