Great place to stay

Really nice place to stay. Only trouble we had was the sliding doors to the outside where pool was were very difficult to open, so we gave up and had to use the one in the kids room. The room was clean and tidy, had everything we needed, and the breakfast packs in the room were great.

A Giant Cuttlefish starting point

We were snorkeling with the Giant Cuttlefish early the next morning at Stony Point about 30 minutes from this hotel. Rather than make a long drive from Adelaide the day of the snorkel we decided to stay here. It was a great decision. We were really looking for an inexpensive place to crash but found this nice hotel near Whyalla amenities which more than suited our needs. Stay here when coming to Whyalla.

I have stayed at the Comfort Inn on many previous occasions and like the Motel. The staff are always very friendly and courteous. The restaurant in the Motel serves good food and its generally very quick. If i could make one recommendation it is the bed head in my room was disconnected to the bed. This didnt worry me too much as i was staying alone, but if circumstances had been different the noisy bed head would have been a problem. Otherwise the place continues to be one of the best places to stay in Whyalla hands down.

The apartment was excellent - a really nice place to stay. Check in was completely contactless. I didn't see any staff during my stay, but all went seamlessly, so no complaints there. The only real downside was that there is a long balcony shared between all the units and other occupants wandered along it and sat outside talking until late, which was a really annoying. It also meant I had to close my curtains on the balcony side (which let in most of the light) for privacy. Because of that, I probably wouldn't stay there again. It would be better for all if there was no access to the balcony for guests. If it wasn't for that, I would really recommend this property.

Comfort Inn provided a convenient location for our short pitstop in Whyalla. The grounds are well kept and the swimming pool looked inviting. I appreciated receiving text messages with my room information prior to arrival, including lock box code for late arrivals, and 24hr reception number. The room was decent, clean, but musty and a bit too dark and the curtains were tattered as was some of the furniture. Aircon was good, Beds were clean and comfortable, shower was great and towels were fluffy, clean and plenty. The restaurant kitchen closed by 8.30pm which was disappointing and they didn't have items on their menu. The breakfast was a simple museli box and bar and juice box, but we could only pick these up once Reception opened at 9am, which was a bit late. Suggest to just leave box in room or tell guests what to expect with breakfast.
